108mp photos will need some time to process and save, this isn't a DSLR which has a image processor specifically only for image processing duty.

The 855 might be faster, but it still won't be instantaneous.

it could process in the background view so people perceive it to be faster, but assuming it will process and save the file instantly is near impossible.

Looking at the fanboys here I'm pretty sure those who are going for megapixels are definitely gonna buy it, as long as they are cheaper than Huawei mate 30 pro lol. I'm not saying this is a bad phone, just not worth the price. Let's see if xiaomi is gonna launch the pro version with 855+ processor with a price that makes more sense. In the meantime, just waiting for this to launch so that I can get my Redmi k20 pro 256 again at less than 400 haha.

It is all about price performance, in most cases the technical differences are marginal at the real use level. I don't think 90% of the user can tell that difference, so the question is will the maker increase the cost of the phone with better CPU just to satisfy 10% of the buyer while increasing the cost unnecessary for the 90% buyer?

Yes which I already said so but again ppl then to believe youtuber and they also said so too and I also read that an 855+ / 865 FSK is in the works with the same camera setup

The processing time will definitely affect user experience. Watched video of review, there is "early shutter penalty". User has to wait a while before taking next shot for normal 27 mp photo.

I'm just surprised with this model given the huge 5k battery and 730G chipset but battery life doesn't seem to be stellar...?

I started using Mi3 before it was introduce to SG, now I am using Mi Mix2, the camera really cmi, so I plan to keep it as spare phone and buy the new mi note 10
