So far, I only wore specs with "hook" like these.

Anything special to take note for "straight" specs?

Last question, how to read these? My optician wrote the following when I asked for my "degrees".

R: -3.25 / -0.75 x 180
L: -2.50 / -1.50 x 165

Hi bro,

R: Myopia (-3.25) / Astigmatism (-0.75) x Axis (180)
L: Myopia (-2.50) / Astigmatism (-1.50) x Axis (165)

Axis refers to the angle that your eyes require the Astigmatism. :)

I saw this yesterday and fell in love with it :love:

I didn't ask for the price but a sticker on it writes "410":eek:

Anyone have cheaper alternative but looks roughly the same? My current specs is $209 only.

Oakley TIE BAR 0.5 is one of their newest model.
RRP $385. Most authorized shops/outlets will stick to this price.

Straight fit is ok if you dont perspire alot. This wrap design is quite fitting for most head size.

I really like the oakley tie bar frame as well! Just a question, for Oakley frames I noticed to buy directly from Oakley shops.. I would need to bring it to other shops to get the lens. So is it recommended to get both frame and lens from other shops instead?

Hi bro,

As long as the other shop is an authorised agent, its ok. Main concern when buying from shops is whether they are authorised agent and if your Oakley purchase is covered by local Oakley warranty.

If your neighborhood shop is an authorised agent, probably good to get from them, since subsequent servicing will be easier for you. :)

You can consider Jamco optical, they have one of the widest Lindberg collection.

Thank you for the suggestion
But i went there to see already, and as per usual neighbourhood shop, they sell the frame as it is. Unless you ask them to indent other colour/design.

Hi guys, I have bought a OEM oakley crosslink zero, thinking of putting my own prescription lens on it. No need any fancy lens, just to use for night cycling.

Anyone can recommend a cheap and good shop around bishan/ serangoon area? If bedok also can, near my workplace

Ah, for spirit/air titanium usually most of my customers also indent for colour changes, lens shape then we will choose from other brand design also possible.
Or Paris miki Taka outlet.

What about Hoya Nulux EP HvLL lens with bluecontrol coating? Yay or Nay?

Yay. Zeiss & tokai was recommended for their material used on stock lenses.

Hoya Nulux EP HvLL has additional customisation done to improve viewing experience. Any lenses with customisation done will be better than stock lenses. However, if your degree is low (E.g. -2.00Ds & below), you might not feel the difference.

While we are on that note, is Nulux EP HvLL still the top tier for Hoya currently?
