Hi, just nice im in the market for a new chair. Don't mind PM me the code, will put it into good use.

btw, for SG humidity weather and non-aircon room. Just an air cooler shooting straight at me, best to pick the fabric over PU 2.0?

Just Pm-ed you my code, take note only 2 slots only. Once used up, cannot be used anymore.

Actually, it's the high humidity that causes the peeling. Don't expose it to direct sunlight. If you have a dehumidifier, do turn it on to reduce the humidity in the room. I just bought a dehumidifier and it's on the way. If not you can use the dry mode in your air-con.

I'm using the softweave version of the Titan, been a year now, yes sometimes it gets hot and can get 'swamp butt' :s13: but I can somewhat tolerate it, I rarely turn on my aircon and rely on my ceiling fan to keep me cool :s13:

Softweave, how is it? Does it get dirty easily? Must be careful not to stain and water may seep inside if you are not careful.

Yup, I'm in the replacement program. Mine is $79+$29 as I'm not the legacy series. Just fill in the details in docs links they sent you, a few days later they will send you an email confirmation with the bill. The $29 is for onsite replacement by their engineers at your home. Should you want to save the $29, you will need to head down to their showroom to collect, install it yourself and return the old parts.

ok thanks, lets hope it turn out well. Was considering hard whether to buy a new cheaper chair for less than $200 or to replace the parts for $129

hard to find a similar replacement of the same sturdy and comfort levels. Since the replacement is not that expensive, let's keep our fingers crossed. Hope, the 2 extra years of peel protection guarantee helps

Thanks! Appreciate it!

Yeah i do have an air cooler by mistral. works like a charm. Did some research and lots of reviews would recommend fabric for our tropical climate unless you have an aircon running most of the time to keep your body from sweating thus that sticky feeling between your skin and the PU leather. Hope this helps!

Moi neh use any for the upholstery:(

Yeah, I couldn't use any of the discount codes for the replacement set, too. No option to input the codes.

Yes. Placed order & made payment. Will let them disassemble & reassemble. Gotta wait till end-July.

-------------------------------------------------

Personally, $500 for 2 years of use is not too big a deal for me. I'd rather have a robust chair that can take my abuse (mainly tilting with my feet up on the table) than one that is restrictive or less sturdy.

Bought a pair of single-seat chairs for the living room at ~$700 a piece (heavily discounted) about 3 years back. Although the mechanism continued to work well (plugged in, chair can be extended to almost 180°), by the end of the second year, the fabric was dirty enough for me to discard them.

Also had a leather sofa set which I gave away after 4 years. It just looked old & dated (although no peeling)...

My point is, having to replace a piece of furniture/equipment after a few years need not necessarily be a bad thing. I also replace the aircon every 5~7 years when we do minor renovations to spruce up the house. :o

Mine does get dirty easily as I have a furry cat so his fur sometimes stuck on the chair but I use a lint roller to remove, very easy job.

Yes agree need to be careful not to stain with anything liquid on it, so far I've never spilled on the chair yet :D

Oh, you already made the payment upon ordering? I just received an email saying my replacement parts came, I ordered at ard 20+ April before they send out the service recovery email and was not asked for payment first.

Now asking me to make the payment but was given a broken link which cannot check out & the price is incorrect too. Have replied them to check on it. *Faceplam
