when and how.. also, is it worth it? will future updates be slower on sea compared to hk?

will I lose data?

The updates are pretty much the same, differences will only be few days to weeks.

It is actually quite safe if you read and understand the guide before doing it. There is also an option to keep all data before flashing the firmware.

To download the firmware.

To use the flasher.

Hi all, long time lurker here.

Kind of concerned whether or not we will get the 5G supported version of the 1II here. I know we getting the XQ-AT52 variant of it but 5G ain't listed under the supported bands.

Even if it is just sub-6 i wont mind cos I dont really wanna get shortchanged if they were to give us a variant with 5G disabled or sth.

The hardware is capable, so it is only a matter of the software update to enable 5G.

And it also depends if you have the 5G network to test.

Either ways, I probably will be buying it cos I waited this long for it alr. I will probably order my accessories mid next month from Taobao. If for some reason Sony screws up the launch or the preorder deal chui then I dont know wat to do alr honestly.

I look forward to joining the owners' club here in october if all goes well :)

We using different 5g network from America. Likely can use. If cant use then switch to permanent LTE loh haha

This is the reason why 5g is unsupported in US .

Also remember. THE PHONE IS SLIPPERY. REMEMBER NOT TO DROP IT DURING OPENING OR YOU WILL BE ****ING SAD OF THE DISFIGURATION ~ and also put casing and tempered glass screen protector ~

Ah thanks for the advice. I already plan on buying a Spigen case, front tempered glass and film for the back. Maybe some new IEMs to test out the souped up headphone jack they got in there

Guys, just to share that the Local set might be the 4G version from Malaysia Source instead of the 5G Version.

do you have sony ceo email? i know some stories complain to ceo works.

our SEA region is treated as third class, they damn lazy at work

this year seems iphone 12 is the clear winner. may switch to apple, somemore with their good privacy policy =:p

If this is true really might be a scam sia, waited this long just to have it imported from elsewhere idk wat to say...

The preorder bonus better be good or else I think import sua. Features kenna cut for a phone people waited this long for.

After all, Etoren the price oso go down already

Sorry, I do not have the CEO email and I already mentioned that it has nothing to do with SEA Region but only Singapore Market as their main SEA markets are Taiwan and Hong Kong which have better sales than Singapore.

If you are those just satisfied with lower specs and fully auto camera mode then iPhone is a good choice while those looking on the Pro Manual mode on the Camera then Xperia 1II is a better choice with 4K Screen and Dolby Atmos Speakers compared to iPhone.
