Yeah exactly longer they wait bigger the loss. But I guess most would just eventually sell to shop than sell to Carousell if their price not met. Either way, they still lose.

Anyway the number of people who buy out of contract maybe a small minority compared to those who sign contract and keep phone to use. Who wants to pay 1.3-1.4k for phone when you can pay like $500 for contract phone.

Do your calculations over the period of 1 year or 2 years contract, you actually pay much more in total.

You will be surprised.. I for one change phones every 3 weeks and buy without contracts. Of course I do have a supplier who takes in my phones at relatively higher price to afford me to play.

It depends on your contract. Maybe more expensive buy off contract as you still have to pay for SIM only plan.

If it is your hobby then fine. Like the saying goes, you can't get something for nothing. The more you change the more you pay the middleman :)

Actually you are right not alot people would do that and I also abit heart pain to take out 1.3k for a phone itself.

Ya without CIS or those company plan de is really bo hua. I count before and without CIS plan, it is super expensive to have a contract and I would rather pay 20 monthly for a sim only plan instead.

If you are paying full subscription price then you save a few hundred over 21 months buy off contract. Nowadays, there are so many incentives (e.g hub club discount, 12-month recontract, cis, recontract vouchers) the actual difference may not be that much.

Anyway most people will baulk at paying 1.4k upfront.

usually for those who is on sim only plan and plan to use the phone for a longer period.

Seriously speaking, unless compare side by side, a lot of us still feel n9 is relatively fast.

I still got friend holding to iphone 6.

That's what my friend did. Queued and paid 2k for iPhone 11 pro max when first launched. She gonna use phone for 3 yrs using promo sim only plan $7 per month 20gb. Think a bit better than getting contract phone.

provided the phone don't break down before she decided to change a new phone.

If within the 21 months the phone break down, it is better getting a contract phone as our telco subsidy is considered good not forgetting than there is still some resales value on the used phone.

Hi,
Just gotten my Note20 Ultra last week. Initially when i took selfie photos, i recalled that there's a led ring light that acted as a countdown timer. Now its gone and replaced by the countdown number 54321... Did i disable something by mistake? Thanks.
