If the cost of the food catering is $2100, it's worth it to get wide exposure from the production company in return. Perhaps instead of turning it down completely and burning bridges, should have asked for more forms of exposure including shoutouts on the production company's social media. The chef is too short sighted. Twice a month, and it's for the production crew, who all have network and connections to others in the media industry (read: Mediacorp).

Just like if they go want to make a 1 episode special on some ex-con chef but now famous and head chef liao... then ask if can sponsor or not.. at least this make sense lar..

All I’m gonna say is he was not seeking advertisement. It was the media company who approached him and ask for sponsorship. There was no offer to pay for the food whatsoever.

Seriously, what is so difficult with forking out your own money to pay for something.

This reeks of serious entitlement, nobody watch mediacorpse crap these days. Who are they to demand said sponsorship? Who ask them to go around asking people to sponsor stuff free for them one. Their CEO? Their father? Or Mediacorpse? Or isit MDA condoning such practices.

If the company ask to work with them and provide them sponsorship, its a totally different scenario. But this is online begging plain and simple. Like people asking you to give them money coz they got instagram followers.
