I'm also trying this out. Visually, it's as smooth as 120Hz. Battery life improvements yet to test thoroughly for me.
Ya guys also using TraceTogether app? That is one of the major culprits and it seems this app sucks more batt out of the N20U as compared to on N10+..
Don't use that app, cos it will lock the refresh rate at 96hz instead of having a variable refresh rate that the note 20 ultra screen is capable of. Use the below manual method instead.

Follow up to step 5 till "adb shell settings put system peak_refresh_rate 96.0" part.
Don't do the min_refresh_rate part, else will disable the variable refresh rate.
Don't use method 2 (the s20 app) as suggested in the link, as it will also disable the variable refresh rate.
