I'm also trying this out. Visually, it's as smooth as 120Hz. Battery life improvements yet to test thoroughly for me.

Ya guys also using TraceTogether app? That is one of the major culprits and it seems this app sucks more batt out of the N20U as compared to on N10+..

Don't use that app, cos it will lock the refresh rate at 96hz instead of having a variable refresh rate that the note 20 ultra screen is capable of. Use the below manual method instead.

Follow up to step 5 till "adb shell settings put system peak_refresh_rate 96.0" part.

Don't do the min_refresh_rate part, else will disable the variable refresh rate.

Don't use method 2 (the s20 app) as suggested in the link, as it will also disable the variable refresh rate.

Thanks for confirming this! I did read abt this issue on the app but didn't persue further.
Tried this and tested ok via displayhz.com. I do see it slowing down to 60hz when not swiping around (as opposed to previously being stuck on 96Hz). This probably explains why my results were not conclusive.

TraceTogether is sucking 2-3% battery per hour. But no choice, many work places now mandatory to have. Either this or carry the hideous TT token.

I got no idea, was just doing my search and found it from the search. But at $1069, seems like a good deal even thought it is for exynos and with local warranty. The SD version cheapest seem to be at $1299 so for $200 buck cheaper for exynos, is acceptable for me.

iPhone 12 no high refresh rate screen. And isheeps are saying why need high refresh rate, mobile games need high refresh rate meh? Lol. They don't know high refresh rate also used for apps like browsing which gives a more fluid experience which isheeps were always boasting about. Apple has really fallen behind.
