People who use Android handphone will find it easier to adapt to Android tv interface. It is the flexibility to do more that makes it more lively. 65" is a good choice given that most buyers find its colour good and acceptable at this size. Bigger size more enjoyment! :)

not really.

android tv os is very different from handphone's android user interface.

in fact many people have problem getting used to android tv os.

but after a while they will find it easier and better to use on tv. although there are some who can't be converted and always ask for web browser, keyboard and mouse (android tv os discourages the use of these).

Google Play, apk application installation, custom rom etc. are what I think of as similarity. True enough when you go into details, there are quite a lot of differences between the two. Different people will adapt to it differently.

Many sideloaded apps don't play nice with a tv remote controller leh... YouTube Vanced is one of those... otherwise, VLC & Kodi are great!

Anyone can help with Photoguru? I'm trying to set up a SMB sharing from my PC... it works for VLC & Kodi quite easily but I always get bad user name or wrong password error message... I'm accessing the same PC and main folder on the PC as VLC & Kodi... confused... definitely a noob at this... if can help, please drop me a PM... thank you!

If u switch off not standby then no need re-pair again

Always need to re-pair my BT headset after I switch off the TV and turn it on the next day. It used to be able to recognise the headset just as my notebook would. Any ideas?

b4 the update, the volume is 0-50, after update the volume is 0-100, if b4 volume at 20, now u have to adjust to 38-40 for same volume, actually find that this latest update more or less improved the sound, b4, the vocal is quite soft, if adjusted to audible volume, the special effect sound like explode sound will be too loud, now i find that its more balance as compared to previous firmware, eg. previously need to set to 20-25 for more audible vocal, but risk of very loud effect sound, now at 36-38 is enough for most show without too loud effect sound.

prices are now close to the Samsungs ($200)...

though someone posting here their Mi TV spoiled after 2 years is scary 😱

also looking at 65" Aiwa which is about just +100$ compared to the Xiaomi but has 3 year warranty
