Yes, okenba is right. I set 7 weekly instruction, for each day of the week.

You can set 5 weekly instructions, each on different days of the week.

Should also put in the relevant code so that they know which portfolio it should go to.

Ah, okay makes sense. Thanks.

I'll probably do it once this comparison is over (in about 6 months or so, if 100% REITs keep winning), since currently, my monthly amount is too small for it to have any meaningful impact, over my current weekly deposits.

Hello... Noob here, been reading on this.

if I want to DCA-ing lets say $100 per week into 100% REIT, do I deposit a lump sum to Syfe and let it deduct or transfer the $100 from my bank account to Syfe weekly?

Or it is better to do it daily ($20/Day) ? :s11:

No differences in term of fee, right?

Any referral code to share? Pls PM me. :)

There's a slight difference in fees, but it's very tiny unless your total balance is VERY large (since your weighted balance will always be higher for weekly vs daily if you deposit weekly on Monday).

You can't lump sum transfer 1k and then expect Syfe to deduct 100 a week for 10 weeks (example)
. You'll need to create standing instruction for weekly $100. Daily would be better, since you can help offset the volatility even further, compared to weekly.

Thanks a lot tutonic! You are very helpful. :)

So if I want to increase the daily amount, I would need to adjust my bank daily standing instruction?

Yes. But it's going to be tedious since you can't adjust standing instruction, if I recall correctly. You'll need to delete all 5 or 7 weekly standing instructions and then remake them with the higher amount.

As I DCA everyday, usually I will see the investment transactions of the previous day today. However, for the past 2 days, I don't see any investment transactions for the past 2 days, just the transfer in of my funds. This is the case for both my REITS+ and Equity100 accounts. Anyboday has the same experience?

My weekly deposit entered in on 22nd and it just updated for me today (23rd) with purchases on 22nd.

Finally opened the Syfe account but yet to deposit, thinking to start from 1 Jan to monitor the progress. I considering to DCA daily via UOB (Or is it only OCBC can FAST transfer daily?)

I also thinking should I open a Stashaway account (Anyone want to PM me the referral code?) and DCA $25 daily ($6500/yr each) to both Stashaway and Syfe. Is there any fee which I need to consider?

Thanks!

Last update for 2020! 100% REITs still in the lead, although both portfolios have gained quite a bit.

All banks can FAST transfer daily. But, why you want to FAST transfer daily when you can just set standing instruction and then forget about it?

As for referral code, I'll let someone else jump in and provide it, since I already have a couple codes currently active, so I don't technically benefit from an extra referral right now. If nobody pm you with their referral code by tomorrow or something, then drop me a pm and I'll give you mine.

PM-ed you. But i realised i read ur post wrongly and gave you my Syfe Referral instead of one for Stashaway...

my 2c: was deciding between stashaway n syfe and their available portfolios but i only took up syfe's.
reason? mgmt fee tiers on stashaway alludes to a minimum investment amount of above 100k if you wanted to get lower fees.

Some things to consider.
Stashaway's (SA) fees are tiered.
This means that if you invest 100k with SA, your fees are:
(0.8% of 1st 25k) + (0.7% of next 25k) + (0.6% of next 50k)

On the otherhand, for Syfe, you get the lowest tier for all.
0.5% of the whole 100k

Another consideration is that SA (except for income portfolio), invests in US ETFs that are subject to higher dividend withholding tax and estate taxes.

Syfe also does, but, it's REIT+ portfolios are not US based and so not subject to taxes. A couple of the ETFs in the Equity100 portfolio are also UCITs compliant and subject to lower dividend withholding tax and no estate tax.

For the expense ratios of the 2, there will obviously be differences between each ETF, but SA lists 0.2% as the average ER, and Syfe lists 0.15%

For currency conversion, SA lists 0.08%, Syfe says 0.09%

These would be most of the hidden charges.
- How exactly pricing is done
- Dividend Withholding Taxes (& Estate Taxes)
- Expense Ratios of underlying ETFs
- Currency Conversion fees

I not sure if i got it correctly but I followed the stashaway guide to set up the incurring transfer via FAST, $25 each into Syfe 100% Reit+ and StashAway 36% Mon to Fri.

Started the transfer since 28/12, so far only $75 as of yesterday both lost a few cents. :s13:

Is there a minimum sum to invest? I am thinking of giving this a try instead of trying to time the market via SGX.

I am keen. What's the benefit of having referral code? Apart of potential growth, do we get dividend?
