I am keen. What's the benefit of having referral code? Apart of potential growth, do we get dividend?

Referral code is for bonus if you invest a certain amount

impt to highlight that the bonus is based on the initial lumpsum deposit only.

long t&c at https://invest.syfe.com/referral-tc/

short tldr at https://www.syfe.com/magazine/how-can-i-invite-a-friend-to-join-syfe/

not sure if the 6-month fee waiver code is still lying around.
then again, you can open first and use any code within 14 days, too.

regarding dividends, the default is auto-reinvest with no addt. fees; to get payout, however, iirc require minimum sum in portfolio..

I start transferring $25 daily (Mon - Fri) to Reit+ and Stashaway36% since 29 Dec, first buy on 30 Dec. Noob here...

Date |Cash| ^Reit+ | ^SA36%
8 Jan|$200|$202.58|$204.09

Had a shock when I received the referral bonus yest and its shows 50+% in syfe :s13:

I wonder how can I withdraw the referral bonus or move to Cash+ so that it wont affect my comparison, or just leave it.

You can't withdraw the referral bonus. Can only do it after 6 months. That's why I don't refer people using Syfe, since it affects my comparison. Haha.

Updated portfolios. As usual, 100% REITs still in the lead. The lead is now quite large, relative to amount invested. 100% REITs is at 6.62% TWR, Managed REITs at 2.99%.

Updated for this week. Both portfolios have gained quite a fair bit. Managed REIT is at 4.32%, and 100% REITs is at 9.55%. Gap is also widening. Contributions dropped down to $50 a month ($25 every 2 weeks).

I don't know what you mean. Just create a new portfolio ah. Create one with 100% REITs, then confirm blah blah. Then create another portfolio with risk management ah.

Even as I'm typing this, I can create another empty REIT portfolio.

These are 2 separate portfolios in Syfe, with 2 different portfolio reference codes.

It's long term ah. The REITs will make up the SG-component of my overall portfolio.

Yeah, Syfe actually update twice in one day, at 2pm and at 8pm. The 2pm one useless since value not updated until the 8pm one.

Managed REIT not really worth it, in my opinion, if you're going to contribute regularly, since weekly deposits can help offset some of the volatility already. And as you can see, the returns from 100% REITs is consistently higher, even during the couple days of downswing.

Yeah. That's the whole purpose of this comparison thread; to see if the Managed REITs is more stable than 100% REITs. But so far, they earn less (to be expected), but also when downswing period, the 100% REITs still stay in the lead. Like that, really no point go Managed REITs if we're contributing regularly (be it weekly or monthly).

If 100% REITs still in the lead by next week, it'll mean that it's been in the lead for close to 3 months straight. Once it hits 6 months of being in the lead, I'll probably end the comparison and move the Managed REIT money into 100% REITs.

But yeah, Equity is definitely going to give better returns in the long run, but the 100% REITs is a good option for people wanting to diversify geographically (even though SG equity/REITs usually move in tandem with US stock market, but still some diversification better than none).

My Reit+ -$6.20 liao. :(

Vested $600 till date

My $475 10)% REITs portfolio still up by $25 (down from ~$40 I think).

Was the $600 lump sum or weekly?

I think for Syfe REIT, weekly is the best bet, since you can insulate yourself against some of the short-term volatility, since REIT prices a bit all over the place in short term. No additional fees for depositing weekly too, so might as well mah.

Only annoying thing is to set up all the standing instructions.
