My knowledge so far says once you unlock the bootloader then there is no going back to locked bootloader.

Using an unlocked phone from day one since I bought it unlocked. Which EU ROM are you using. Lazada not working might be bec of some other reason. Banking apps might have problem but can hide in Magisk and use but not all apps.

Not sure about mimax 2. Btw Magisk is the name of the tool which roots the phone. May be you can Google Magisk.

I think we can chat on Telegram if you really can't find answer for yourself.

You max 3 speaker volume is too high. Just reduce the volume on speaker calls.

Go for the candy shop mimax 3 Miuiplus 12.5 GSI ROM. It's quite impressive with all 12.5 MIUI features ... Won't feel our old device lack anything.

Search mi max3 candy shop in Telegram.

Does it drain the batt? MIUI 12.0.1 drains the batt a lot. MIUI 11 seems to be better. Less buggy.

Miuimix is more battery friendly than EU. It is based on EU with more tweaks added for battery life.

Miui 12 is not buggy. The development has gone more than halfway it's 12.5 now. Battery life you yourself need to test for any ROM in general I think it might be bit less but again subjective

Mi 11 is bigger screen phone launched by Xiaomi after a long time 6.81. it can be a upgrade for mi max 3 if you are not worried about price.

Time to move to a new device, Mi Max 3 folks... :)

There are quite a lot of new and recently launched devices that can replace Mi Max 3 in terms of price and screen size already... :)

I disagree though, still struggling to find a phone with large enough display like Max 3 as replacement. Their largest phones have similar size but they are significantly taller displays. Hoping they resurrect the Max line.
