I am also looking at Kaiser for metal gate. Which version are you looking at and which are the metal ones..?

for metal gate, I find that there isn’t many Brand.
anyone has any recommendations.
Using Kaiser+ grill lock. Ordered M1192 from qoo10, they gave me m1191 with metal body for the body facing inside. Supposedly free upgrade. Is meta body on inside really so important?

so far very satisfied w features, finger print works well. >90% 1 time clear. About 8 months old.
Grill lock can set auto lock or not, then remember to add remote to unlock from inside.
Happy user.

Are there any digital locks that are suitable for outdoor gate? TIA.

I'm also looking for one. Currently, shortlisted Philips Easykey 5100K. Retail price is going for $599 (inclusive of installation).

What attracts me most is the ability to use mechanical key in the event of failure (on top of card, pin, app and fingerprint). And also, it seems to be the only brand that offers 3 years warranty (parts + labour).

And in the event of no/low battery, instead of hunting for a 9V battery to jump start, it can be charge via an external powerbank with a micro USB cable.

Outlook wise looks pretty sleek and it does comes with a remote to unlock as well. It also support an optional bluetooth-to-WiFi gateway @ $120 which I assumed can be used to unlock/lock remotely.

Now I'm looking for a gate to change as well.

Thanks TeamUSA and XiaoFu99. I presume the locks are weather proof to withstand the rain and shine as well?

Not too sure about that. I have yet to see digital lock (excluding padlock) that are IP65 certified to withstand rain.

Bro, are u sure the 5100k have the Bluetooth to wifi module? If yes, pls kindly give me the link to where I can purchase this. I own both the 9200 and 5100k. Before buying, the sales person told me that these locks will in future have this capability. After waiting 1 year for the delivery of the 5100k,I was told that both locks will not have this function......

Bro, the front of the lock looks sleek and slim. But the back of the lock is not. I think you will be disappointed. Best to go for Yale lock if you want wifi unlocking and a lock that is able to lock back into your original gate lock slot.

Apparent Kaiser+ for gate got a metal version. Tempting
I am using the Kaiser+ for my gate. Quite ok. Can use fingerprint, rfid, password and app to unlock. Personally I think don’t really need gate lock la. Cheap one will do or maybe don’t even need. Yale very ex

For HDB or condos/apartment with limited security/access controls, i think still need a gate lock. And to me its strange to have a digital lock for main door but manual lock for gate, which kinda defeats the purpose of not having to bring/usekeys in the first place. But yes, I do have friends who don't even have a gate even in HDB so it depends on what you are comfortable with .
