Hello guys,

I have a C8. It's advertised as dual band but the TV can only see the 2.4ghz band. It does not pick up the 5ghz. I am using Nokia Beacon.

Anyone has similar issues?

Check your router, 5GHz arround 100-149 channels.

Not sure if i saw it correctly... Saw IMM giant has sale for TCL 55" C825 @ 1099. Is this model ok? But the warranty is 1 year only.. labor extended to 3 years..

just went to IMM and checked the price for C825, still $1899... the sales for $1099 is for another model..

Bought TCL C728. But got problem from the start. After pressing power off in the remote to standby, and press power on on the remote, the tv display doesn't turn on. If it is playing some video earlier, there is sound but no display.
Only when i unplug from power socket and plug again in 1-2 mins then it can turn on. Is it a defective unit?

Not able to open Disney+, as it said it is not compatible and when i tried to update the firmware, no firmware.
OS firmware side, i think C728 and C825 is the same. Still under old android tv instead of Google TV.

Anyone facing similar problem?
Contact the support, also very slow and the solution doesn't work (changing power cable).

I think C825 and C728 has same firmware. (i checked with telegram group for TCL Firmware.

I tried to update the firmware manually, after validation of the firm, then in the process it went blank. i waited for 1hr is still the same.

I am not sure why it is recognised as C825.
Firmware that i tried is V8-T615T01-LF1V072.
No LED is blinking

Place Update.img file on USB and press and hold power button on TV ,till update start.

Note:
IMG file will erase your additional apps...

Bought the C728 75" from Lzda. Came with old software version v012. Updated to v62 and then to v72.
For updating from v012 to v62 used the update.img file. For updating from v62 to v72 used the zip file. All files are downloaded from the link in Telegram channel.

Still not able to go into update firmware mode.

Perhaps the power on from standby mode is the one that prevent go into software update mode.
"After pressing power off in the remote to standby, and press power on on the remote, the tv display doesn't turn on." It is similar when i tried to update firmware from setting .. about.. after validate, the tv restart but no display.

This issue should be solved by the seller. will keep bugging them.

To push the TV to software update, one step to try is keep pressing the power button and insert the plug into the socket. This step is required if you are on very old version like in my case v012
