YDT should have known that the others dont like yang xiao when he's still alive. So while he feels that YX has the talents to be the next leader, YX's probable lack of support from the others might be the cause of YDT's death for Xie Xun to be the deputy leader instead of YX.

I don't think he has a reason to be bitter or angsty. He was right, YDT was sabotaged and got an suan. There was indeed a ploy against the Ming cult.

No one at Ming cult betrayed Fan Yao; on the other hand, he did break several laws of Ming cult as you mentioned. The laws of Ming cult was that any in-fighting means the death penalty and Fan Yao killed 3 leaders within the Ming cult. That was definite death, I don't think he can afford to be bitter or cocky.

If it were anyone else, he'll probably be bitter for going through the hardships - even with the disappearance of YDT, he was still among the 2 highest rank leaders in Ming Sect with money, power and prestige, is supposedly renowned for his looks, has the company of his Sect mates, and based on his skills and respect from the Xuan Ming elders (the drug scene before Wan An temple rescue), he is among the top martial artists in the world (supposely lost to chen kun by his own accounts - stab chen kun but took a plam hit which took 1 year to recover).

Cheng Kun can't be that much stronger than Fan Yao because if he is, everything else doesn't make sense.

Cheng Kun was beating the crap out of Xie Xun until eclipse. For Xie Xun to win from that point on, the gulf between the two fighters can't be that huge. Remember, Xie Xun took 3 blows from Cheng Kun to repay gratitude debt and Cheng Kun was definitely going all out.

The 4 guardian lords were definitely weaker than Yang Xiao and Fan Yao. If we took Fan Yao's account, it won't make sense anymore, unless you believe that Cheng Kun's Huan Yin Zhi was fei diao by ZWJ and the bag incident.

I think ZWJ handed to YX then YX handed to ZYZ. Not sure. But if I never recall wrongly, ZYZ was the sect leader at some point and then betrayed the cult, handing it over to government control.

nope, ZYZ was never sect leader, he was controlling large armies and just took over and became emperor himself

by then YX was old, so after he got the sect leader position from ZWJ also cant do much about ZYJ

ZYZ is the founder of ming dynasty. he fought and win the yuan. if remember correctly he form the new dynasty to stablise the country and continuing the efforts to drive the yuan until he success as the Emperor.

Yep, probably. YX's attitude was like Huang Yaoshi. He did whatever he wanted/needed and rarely explained himself.

YDT probably chose Xie Xun for his leadership and potential.

But only Fan Yao was matchmaked by YDT wife. This shows that Fan Yao was very very close to YDT family. And That explain why Fan Yao took extreme measures on finding out YDT murderer.

I got my own theory that YDT actually prefer FY or likes him very much. In ancient china, it was a common practice to do political marriage to secure and strenghten relationship. Purple dragon is Ming Sect holy gal. It is a big thing who she is going to get married with. The offspring if gal will be the next holy gal. If FY married purple dragon, his position in Ming Sect is almost on par with YDT. And it is YDT family who suggested the matchmake.

but to prevent any disgrudge from Yang Xiao if FY climbed higher position then him, YDT impart XKDLY beginner level to him. In layman term, FY was the white horse, Yang Xiao is the obedient servant

I agree with you other than the part about Purple Dragon being Ming Sect holy girl. The Chinse cult had no idea.

There's a huge problem to this theory. HYS does not allow his disciples to impart his skills.

But it can be reconciled if we acknowledge that Divine Flick isn't a Tao Hua Dao skill. Which is also very plausible.
