Ah that's what i meant. I n00b use wrong word. Plaster. You want to hack the balcony wall???? It's much cheaper to just plaster and smoothen the walls than to hack and rebuild them.

Hi broCan, but cannot openly share is it? Later I go jail for doxxing, but then if I don’t share, how will people know to avoid.. dilemma.
Anyway I heard CASE don’t have much authority ..
You mean engaging a carpenter directly, or is that a company name?hi anyone use carpenter direct before?![]()
Yup, it is apparent that for they only show the good reviews since IDs have to pay quite an expensive fee to get listed. It is better to compare reviews from unbiased sites, especially ones that do not hide/take down negative reviews. Quite clear which reviews are legit from how it is written, usually elaborate and precise details of the reno are provided.Yea, I browse through a lot of reviews, not even a bad one. So really can't trust. Will probably get my relative to do it.
just saw your query. in the end did you engage them?Hi . Anyone tried before third paragraph interior design ? Need some reviews . Thanks
Agree I thk Qanvast and google reviews can’t be fully trusted. I engaged charlotte’s carpentry, too many problems with the IDs and workmanship not good too.qanvast and google too much fake reviews., especially qanvast. Would they show you the truth when they are paid by the Ids?
I approached Charlotte's Carpentry on a friend's recommendation. But after first meeting, didn't get back to me on whether some stuff can or cannot be done although they said they would. Didn't bother to chase them, just went on to meet other IDsAgree I thk Qanvast and google reviews can’t be fully trusted. I engaged charlotte’s carpentry, too many problems with the IDs and workmanship not good too.
Seems to have average reviews on HT from here North West Reviews, generally mid-big size companies' prices are more competitive. If you are looking for competitive prices there are other mid-big size firms which I would check out too like Starry, Design 4 space etcAnyone has engaged NorthWest Interior before and willing to share their experience? The prices they quoted seems quite competitive.
I see the reviews from there are always that few firms and all 5 stars haha, probably any negative ones are removed.Agree I thk Qanvast and google reviews can’t be fully trusted. I engaged charlotte’s carpentry, too many problems with the IDs and workmanship not good too.
Can you share your reviews on 3, 4 and 5? i went through 10+ pages of recommendations here and i think hometrust seem to be more trustworthy than qanvast in terms of reviewAnyone has any personal great experience with IDs and can recommend me? will appreciate a PM.

Seem like interior lab starry and Design4space are the top brackets in ID.
Now i will need to go down to individual designers to see who are the better ones. Should i just walk in to get a random ID or there is some way where i can select a more responsible one?
Thanks during covid times i rather go for a slightly more expensive but reputable firm, dont want to be impacted with long delivery times or payment issues, i read through the pages here and most of those who have delayed completion dates or cashflow issues are boutique firms, thats why i only shortlisted the top 3 in industryTo me, TIL seems expensive. so i give it a miss.
eventually did not meet with 4 and 5.
i think when you ask for a quotation. an ID would had been assigned to you already unless you really have a person in mind to look for.
Hi! Do you have the name of the ID? Can pm me? Thanks!Design4Space
I went with Design4Space and started renovations 2 weeks ago.
The design concept I wanted, I saw online most IDs charge from $70k and above.
Design4 Space quoted me $50k+.
I signed up during a promotion where they were giving free quartz kitchen countertop. I wanted the Lian Hin marble series so I had to top up $75/ft. A few days after I signed the contract, my ID told me they just did a deal with Caesarstone so I can choose Caesarstone with my top up if I want to.
They also gave me a $500 voucher for bathroom and light fixtures.
In addition, I could also choose between a granite sink which is around $400+ or digital locks up to $1000.
Plus they use blum fittings for the cabinets/wardrobes and also the thicker PVC lining for the cabinets/wardrobes. Some IDs I’ve asked require a top up for the blum fittings or the thicker PVC lining.
My ID alerted me to a Hafary sale and got his contact person there to assist us.
We managed to secure all Italian tiles for the entire house. We got tiles that were originally over $10-$12 for prices that were within the reno quotation range.
But one thing is my ID is a little blur, sometimes get confused with the details.
But it is understandable as we kept making changes to the design.
Just need to refresh his memory occasionally and he will get it right.
The good thing about him is he is very trustworthy.
He remembers all his verbal promises.
I just went down to see the tiling works and workmanship was good.
Even my in-laws were impressed with the workmanship, especially when we are doing herringbone layout with tiles for the bedrooms.
I can’t figure out how to upload pictures, will do so once I figure it out![]()
Design 4 Space has pretty solid ratings and reviews on Hometrust. https://www.hometrust.sg/interior-designers/design-4-space-pte-ltd Can't go wrong with them, heard they vet their Ids quite well tooDesign4Space
