This is when a small bicycle bell comes in handy.

Ring the bell once or at most twice. Dont ring the bell to signal your frustration as that may make some people upset and guailan to block you more.

Most people dont intentionally want to block the whole path, and they will quickly move aside when they become aware that a cyclist is behind them.

Once you pass them, remember to say "Thanks" or wave a thanks hand signal to them for making the effort to move aside for you.
