Hi everyone,

Going for my first RC cruise (4D3N to penang) with my family members on Oct. Total 7 adults and 2 kids (age 2 and 6). Read up some previous comments and it seems so complicated. lol. Initially, thought can relax and just board the cruise but it seems like I have things to learn first. Hahaha. Below are some questions and hope someone can help me with it.

1. UDP -> is this consider I can eat any restaurants in the ship for free? except of course there are some restaurants that need surcharge. For those restaurants that need surcharge, I will only be charged if I went to them right? If I never went to them I wont be charged right? I have 2 kids (age 2 and 6), they wont be able to enjoy these restaurants right?

2. The Key -> Is this really useful? I am wondering how useful is this.

3. Check in -> This can be done on the app right? Any required documents or details needed for check in? Cause one of my family member can only collect the passport on Sept, will this affect the check in? What can I choose during check in? The time to board the ship or etc?

4. Any other things that I can book before boarding the ship? Beside the internet? Will there be discount for the internet if I book later? If I never buy the internet, I can still make all the reservations thru the app right?

5. I see that my traditional dining is set at 5:15pm. I dont seem to be able to change it. Is it that I have to change at the venue when onboard?

6. All the activities and dining can only be booked when onboard?

7. Is it worth to walk around Penang when it docks or staying on the ship will be a better choice? All activities on the ship will still be available as usual when it docks right?

Sorry for the long questions. Thanks in advance everyone!
Go Penang to buy their 土产。

3. Face pic, passport details, vaccination cert. You can continue to check-in for the rest. That member will need to wait for collect passport as need passport #. You can select the check in time as part of the process.

4, 6. You can buy food, drink packages, internet etc or even payable activities like ifly before boarding. But FOC stuff you will need to book during boarding (eg. Silk road) or at the counter/queue of those activities. Yes you can connect to free wifi only to access app and ica website. Cheaper to buy before boarding.

5. Yes you can call dining services after onboard to change your dining time.

7. Penang is a good place to go down. If you intend to stay onboard, some will be closed as for which, best to refer to app

I see some blogpost and the picture shows Dadong wonderland food is not so imaginative and decorative like shaping then like shrubs.

It is more like fine dining style which is just better presented.

Seems like then not worth to spend money for IG-able food for the kids

I think its best to check with RC, I know that Caribbean cruises even though you may need visa, requirement is different if arriving by cruise

Hi there, can anyone advise on the car park situation at Marina Bay cruise centre? Would it be jammed packed?
For non school holidays period, carpark quite empty at around 12 noon as that was our boarding time for 5pm cruise departure.
Proceed to the self-service kiosk opposite the mbcc entrance to scan the QR code and purchase the parking ticket.
We left the ship at 8am and was the only car exiting carpark.

Is it true???

Dear Valued Travel Partners,

Greetings from Resorts World Cruises!

Please be informed that for the mandatory ART (Antigen Rapid Test) for guest boarding Genting Dream, will no longer be required from 29th August 2022 onwards. This is applicable for fully vaccinated guests with vaccines approved by MOH, Singapore. Guests boarding on or before 28th August 2022, will still be required to produce the negative ART for boarding.

Resorts World Cruises requires all guests above the age of 12 to be fully vaccinated. Vaccinated Guests must have received the appropriate regimen of World Health Organisation Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL) COVID-19 vaccines including their respective duration post-vaccination for the vaccine to be fully effective and boosters for eligible individuals. Overseas traveller can refer to https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg/arriving/overview for the national requirements.

Hihi do u mean that with navigating the physical button at the samsung tv bottom to choose source HDMI ( assume i connect my laptop via HDMI), after that i can use the room TV remote control to control volume as usual? I was thinking if i need to get a universal remote control or a Samsung remote control.. ( i read somewhere the TV brand is Samsung.. )

It's Samsung TV for our room.. We did consider doing it (IPAD -> LIGHTING TO HDMI -> TV) but end up no time to even watch the downloaded movies on the IPAD..

So many things to do, so little time..

Royal Caribbean International to bring back formal night onboard #SpectrumOfTheSeas!
Do you miss formal nights? Now termed “Dress Your Best”, guests can now dress to impress on Spectrum’s 4-Nights Getaway sailings, beginning on today’s sailing, departing 25 August 2022.
Tentatively, it will be held on Day 2 of the cruise.
It is unclear whether a Captains Reception will make a return, but Dress Your Best is one of many steps seen to bring the experience back to normalcy here in Asia.
