Oic. Is it safe for 2 ladies to Grab in Jb?
It's generally safe. Just don't both fall asleep, at least one should be alert. It's the same everywhere > be vigilant.

The Grab app has some safety features, I recall, and you'll also receive a safety notice on the app during your ride.

For Aeon Tebrau, I've only called Grab once from the mall's exit. Grab driver told me they'd have to drive a big round to get out (which is true from what I experienced), so I'd either go to the entrance by the road to meet them, or walked over to Lotuss (ex-Tesco) instead.
At the car park located at the exit door of AEON Supermarket, there's a overhead U-Turn ramp that leads back to Highway AH18 or Johor Jaya.

There's no need for Grab to take a big round.

And it is also possible to drive through the covered car park & use Level 1M exit ramp (I think it is Level 1M) direct to AH18 highway.

I travelling to some place further in JB and will have to cross toll.

Got a few questions to ask.
RFID-PLUS-emel-pic-130122.jpg

1) If I want to use my touch n go card, I choose the 3 dark blue lanes on the left , correct?

2) If I have a VEP RFID in my car and want to use my VEP instead of touch n go card, which lane should I choose?

Thanks..
1) Correct.
2) The MyRFID lane on the right. For those tolls like NSHW where the first toll is to record your entry and the next one is to record your exit, you must use the same mode at entry and exit. Don't use TnG card to enter and RFID to exit.

The VEP RFID is meant only for the tracking of foreign vehicles and payment of road entry toll at Malaysian border crossings. There are no plans afoot to allow the RFID system to be used on Malaysian highways. I am not sure how the Touch n Go e-wallet is integrated with the Touch n Go card, so for the meantime, I maintain the Touch n Go card separately to pay tolls and do not use the Touch n Go e-wallet.

No harm confirming this at a toll gate, but pick a quiet place. You can also check at a motoring forum.

From what I understand, there's this PayDirect feature that when enabled (by default) will allow the amount, when you use the card at tolls, to be deducted from your eWallet.

Thanks for this tip. Will use this feature if I start to use their e-wallet too.

I have VEP RFID installed on my car before COVID. The one where you need to go down to the centre to let them paste for you. But I always use TnG card to pay for my tolls.

From what I understand, the sticker can be used for highway tolls at the myRFID lane if I put money into the ewallet. When I cross via Woodlands, I always get the message my tag has insufficient balance (to pay the RM2+), so it wants me to tap card, which is what I do.

Thanks for this tip. Will use this feature if I start to use their e-wallet too.
PayDirect is only valid at a few toll booths. The Woodlands CIQ is one of them, can deduct the RM2+ from ewallet. RM20 RC deducted from TnG card balance.

What's delicious that requires your early presence?

Today not solo, got a friend coming along, he saw my RM35 massage and he was tempted.

I'm drooling for the Kuay Tiao at See Kee, which I haven't had in a long long time. Then a quick QC check at Hiap Joo
