Reminder: There's no Singapore Savings Bond issued in January, 2023 (to buy in late December, 2022). The next SSB (to buy in late November, issued December 1) is the last one until you can buy the next one in late January (issued on or about February 1, 2023).
(Genuine question) May I know where did you get that information?

Based on this page, it says:
Frequency of issuanceA new bond is issued every month.

Christmas is also a vacation for SSBs, basically. Merry Christmas?
This is new to me as well. So there is no January SSB to buy in Dec 2022?

I think MAS need time to update the Calendar:
  • The 2023 Savings Bonds Issuance Calendar will be released in October/November 2022.

Oh this is new to me. Do you have the link to the source for this info? Thanks!
Correction! The MAS just hasn't posted the 2023 Singapore Savings Bond issuance details yet, and the SSB you purchase in late December is actually considered next calendar year's bond since it's issued on or about January 1 (January 3, 2023, I think). Sorry about that! Ignore what I wrote.

This year (2022) the "regular" SGS bonds are taking a long end of year pause: no auctions in October, November, or December. But the SSBs chug along monthly, and the 6 month T-bill auctions are even more often.

Funny when last month's allotment was 42K, I thought people's interest in SSB would have waned somewhat.

i take home ard 10k monthly. i can average in as long as i want. i used to buy equities/stocks with the cash i have but sadly its a sea of red. buy in and lost money for a few months already.

the only guaranteed money now is ssb. max out my 200k first then see other options.

This Savings Bond was allotted using the Quantity Ceiling format. Applicants who applied for S$10,000 or lower were fully allotted, subject to the individual allotment limits.
Applicants who applied for S$10,500 or higher were allotted either S$10,000 or S$10,500.
Approximately 29.15% of these applicants were selected at random and allotted the additional S$500.
Received your email at 3pm. 😍
Thank You.

yeah, but I think its case by case each month. High rates would spread like wild fire in today's social media society.

What you're describing is that stock (index fund?) prices are currently lower than they were in the recent past. Lower prices are GOOD when you're a buyer. If you stop buying then you're not getting those lower prices. If you resume buying only when stock prices rise then you'd be buying at higher prices. This is the opposite of a wise long-term investment strategy.
