Finally, today is the day for Wo Long - 3.3.23. I was a little curious, so I went to watch some reviews though I'm definitely playing it not matter the score. As most have expected, it is deflection focused. It still has the Nioh series' overabundance of equipment (great customisability but it may be overwhelming for some) and weirdly, it had moved backwards to a smaller bestiary like Nioh 1. It's a bummer as I expect it to have a bestiary with variety like the one in Nioh 2. I even saw a familiar enemy (slow and heavy stone statue with a huge sword from Nioh 1) making a return with seemingly the same moves in that few seconds I watched. Homage or reusage? I think there are more AI companions to aid you this time but there's this scepticism whether that will make the game not as challenging. However, I can't wait to cling-clang-clang, deflect my way out of the boss fights and see more of the new gameplay mechanics (Morale ranking system, Spirit gauge etc.) myself. I hope the boons will overshadow the banes.
