I'm not surprised grab does not promote this. Lol.

On your app, Press your profile, then press Discover. You should find the auto accept form from there.

There are also some other info which might be useful to you. Go discover!
Noted with thanks! 🙏 Managed to opt out auto accept but will take effect next month.

For me last Sunday was the best day. Started at 9 am n finished 30 trips on Grab at 5.59 pm. Song Ar! You will understand why. After that continue driving till I hit my daily target. Did 35 trips that day.

Incentives given by platforms can be taken away at any moment. For me if have, I take it as my bonus.

Hit my daily target, I will go home. At the end of the month, I know that I am earning at least X dollars per month without counting the incentives.
Are the PU distance shorter for grab AA as opposed to MA? In my opinion , Comparing tada and grab, I feel that tada fare is fairer. I usually get very low fare or undesirable location from grab. Maybe I am new and under their lowest tier.

Just sharing a conversation with one pax today. He was an ex PHV and was involved in a fatal accident. His case is still pending after two years. He told me that insurance will cover everything as long as the at fault driver is not under the influence of alcohol or drug. Though he is not liable to compensate, he will likely have to serve one month jail term. He urged me to stop driving whenever I feel sleepy or tired.

Iirc you mentioned that you are looking for an income of 2,500 to 3,000 per month.

So week 1 you got 300 is a good start since you are new.

You have your own reasons to choose Tada. For MA, u need to choose the job that after DO will get a job easily. Some people choose DO that will have MSW fare at that time. You need experience for that.
Noted. Will figure it out and see what works better for me

Anyone can share good company for renting car and also can recommend car? Maybe 3-6 mths contract. Grab rental seems quite reasonable now since almost every other rental company is increasing price.
Driving pattern will be about 5-6 hours a day, 6 days a week, so total maybe 30-36 hours a week (Mon - Fri 6/7am - 10/11am, continue afternoon 2/3pm - around 5pm. Sun around 10am - 4/5pm). Considering a petrol car if can around $60/day. Hybrid....not sure if hua for my driving pattern. Oh ya, cannot be COE car cause I also on Grab. TIA!
If you want short term rental, you can enquire with kinetic or fresh cars. I can’t give my review about them because I am a very new driver

Agreed and am very appreciative of the information that RookiePHV is sharing and all the seasoned drivers' replies. I'm lurking here and trying to absorb as much as I can.

Got retrenched last Nov and just gotten my PDVL. While trying to search/apply for another FT job, I'm also tired of the corporate BS and thinking of driving FT. I do not have my own vehicle and instead of committing to one long term, I'm thinking of being a relief and share the car with another driver and try out first.

Apart from being registered with the platforms, what are some of the considerations and SOP to be a relief driver? E.g. is it a must to put down deposit, must I also register with the car rental company etc?

Thanks in advance and drive safe.
If you are thinking of driving full time, you may wish to consider a one month contract rental car. Kinetic offers one month contract as far as I know.

I guess there are pros and cons. But surely cheaper than renting car. A friend of mine advised me not to buy hybrid used car because change of battery can cost a few thousand dollars.
Hybrid battery when died must change. 7 years ago when I was driving Gen 3 Prius taxi, it died n the company said it was 10,000 dollars. My friend Gen 4 Prius just died. Now it is 6,000 dollars to change.

Correct, they need 1 whole month to process your application cause it is a high tech company.

You are giving yourself more stress. For MA, grab measure this on a weekly basis. Your AR must be 30% or more. Meaning Grab give u 10 jobs must do 3.

Your CR must be 25% or lower. Meaning Grab give you 4 jobs can cancel 1.

So u play around with your AR n CR make sure it is within the limit set by Grab. If not Grab give you warning. Too many warning will suspend your account. If still don't behave will get ban.

If you ask the passenger, maybe 90% of them will say Grab's fare is the highest. The reason u are seeing a lower fare is because Grab take 20.18% away from the fare. Tada don't take any commission.

However Grab "returned" the commission to you by giving you daily incentives.

Plus you are given monthly commission rebates by Grab if you do more than 200 trips per month. My rebate for January was 1,400 plus dollars paid out on 10th of February. February rebate will be paid on 10th of March.

Nope, tier is based on how much commission you give to Grab. Every 1 dollar earn you 7 points. Every 3 months, Grab will have this promotion n demotion exercise.
