is it true grab car drivers can get a higher rebate off petrol? anybody sign up for grab car simply because you wanted to get a car with the benefits but has absolutely no intention of accepting any jobs? is it still possible to maintain your status as a grab car driver in this scenario?

Gojek+ESSO+ Maybank F&F better combo.

22% upfront + 5% voucher off + (0.06x0.73) = 31% off.

This morning 6am I went on NE shift and accepted a AA JustGrab ride coz wanted to try see can hit $20 incentive. The pickup distance was 5km. Passenger fare was $17.10. Guess what was my earning for that trip? $13.80.

Grab commission = 19%

Whatever happened their narrative of 0-30% commission based on pick up distance?

You mean you drive so long still dunno you can never ever trust the platform?

Anyway, the 2hrs wasn't a total loss. I still managed to make $30/hr by switching to metered jobs after that 1st garbage AA job. Nevertheless I concluded that the $20 incentive wasn't worth it.

Their service fee -10% to 25% is rubbish. 5km they can still charge 10% to 20% commission, complaint and Grab standard reply template is Dynamic pricing and Service fee is based on effort. CALL CENTRE Officer don't know how the Service Fee is calculated, no formula, NO TRANSPARENCY.
I give up on Grab after 9 years.

Don't bother looking at their incentives, streaks or service fee. It's a TOTAL MESS.

To all brothers, drive safely. Don't bother RISK your life for any platform incentives.

Happy take the booking, price too low, JUST EXPLAIN TO CUSTOMER Service/Commission fee too High, distance too far, LOW FARE, TELL THEM FREE CANCELLATION.

IF ALL FAILS, WE JUST CANCEL. WE MOVE ON.

In combo with the 6-8am NE shift, I booked a 6-8pm Streak zone to test test daily incentive.
Ended up earning slightly less than usual even with $7 incentive and $3 streak bonus. :s22:

But hey I accumulated a 66.6% JustGrab AR which is going to come in useful on Fri/Sat nights for cherry picking. :s13:

It is not a mess. It is calculated to maximise grab's dominant position and their profit. You think incentives and streaks are to help drivers? :spin:

And how you contact call center ah? Teach me pls. The AI CS keep me running in circles...

Am I able to Grab from both Causeway and 2nd Link (Singapore side) into Singapore?

Is there a pick up location for both?

eh u all drv here drv there got brain or not?

I used to start 430am too. But I found it not worth it as midnight fare metered bookings is erratic. You can sit there for more than half an hour with no booking very often. So now weekday I drive 6-8am plus 6pm to 12mn. Weekend, it is 6pm to 6am. To stay in or get to correct locations, I book a 6-8am and 8-10pm shift.

The 6-8am shift help me make sure I can hand over the taxi promptly. The 8-10pm shift allow me to be pulled toward profitable zone around 730pm (as I may start late or take opportunistic bookings). Then I can end the day anytime after 10pm using a destination trip to get home.

Morning stint no rest, evening stint one restroom break. Weekday usually 200-300 fares.
Weekend, I sprinkle in 3 restroom breaks. Usually 400-500 fares.

Weekly takings usually 500-2000 depending on how many days I work. On weeks where I only drive one or two day, solo would kill me. So I rather share the cab with 2 reliefs. That way, I only lose 350 if whole week I lazy to drive.

My reliefs and me don't pump every day, I get my reliefs to pump a fixed weekly amount. If shortfall or surplus, adjust the following week. That way won't have to do stupid stuff like end shift waste time pump until can see petrol.

As my daily fixed cost is only $50, the 6-8am shift alone cover all costs for the day already.

Right now I am on my 4th attempt at sapphire tier, when I succeed I will try 12mn-6am again haha.

Sg side woodlands and 2nd link? Yes both have but 2nd link looks like a bus stop. Not sure is it a real bus stop or not. Woodlands one is a proper pickup point with a taxi stand.
