Turn on EXPO I, set the UCLK thing to get 3000Mhz Memory Clock Speed, then using HWINFO 7.46 and still get VDDCR SOC peaking at 1.347 but the CPU SOC reported by the Motherboard is fine though...

Probably a temporary spike don't worry too much about it

You only worry if your average is higher than recommended

hwinfo can right click the vddcrsoc and show graph. at least can visualise the log if the peak is regular or one-off type :o

good time to rma since amd will guai-guai approve, wonder if convergent can 1-1 for local stocks.

To be honest I still think it has something to do with HWINFO not capturing the data properly just like before this version it was showing double voltage.. which was even more scary...

i noted you got amory crate running also, maybe disrupt the hwinfo.

just run 1 monitoring software usually. i rather uninstall amory crate and disable in bios amory crate and myasus, think option is somewhere in the right most part

asus got set up a webpage to uninstall their bloatware :o

Next time i release update with a changelog of all the changes then write a beta disclaimer saying not everything is guaranteed to work but in reality the changes were not implemented :s13:

They jitao just called out ASUS riao

ASUS deserves it though... .the way they handled it inspires no confidence... and just nice.. first time buying ASUS product... previous have been MSI products... As far as I can remember I used before AsRock (Got to RMA as one of the caps on it burnt and that is just using it normally without overclocking it), Abit (Stop gap measure as AsRock RMA takes a month), MSI motherboard... (Used this for 10 years.. with haswell i7 4770k)

That's why don't need to have brand royalty, different era different blacksheep of the industry. As consumer always do our research, don't simply trust a company because of a stupid logo.

Honestly this time I think AM5 motherboard manufacturer order is like this for me

1. ASRock (actually good entry level to mid range boards without absurd pricing, X670E PG Lightning is also a good shout for cheap X670E)
2. MSI (very solid X670E boards like Carbon and Ace, though the lack of a B650E board and all B650 board being 6 layer is disappointing)
3. Gigabyte (would have ranked second if they have a mobo that can do x8/x8 and if they didn't also have some issues)
4. Asus (many problems like excessive shoving of voltage, wonky BIOS, EXPO not working properly with other kits, hot VRMs on their entry level Prime series compared to say, ASRock or Gigabyte)

That said, both MSI and Gigabyte are pretty good and either of them could be second

Well this is based on my research done before I got my current PC, local prices and experiences of multiple friends with Asus B650 motherboards

Yeah I was looking for USB 4 port... was looking between ASUS and MSI.... and ASUS have ProArt and CrossHair Hero which is about $230+ price difference... and MSI have MEG ACE which is $340+ more expensive than the ProArt I bought, not to mention it is E-ATX form which cause some issues even if your casing support it.

Other boards also have a lot of problems.. But not as bad as this Asus case. I google each model issue back then, a lot of post will come up. Back then, Asus has the least issues with EXPO (maybe they pushing higher voltage to get it stable) many other brands having problems getting EXPO stable at 6000.

In my layman opinion based on limited watching to videos and forums (lots of of conspiracy theories) This issue seems like an AMD issue... With bad chips causing catastrophic failure.. Meaning as X3D CPUs degrade, similar failures will occur down the road...and they using a software solution (the Bios) to try contain this issue. ASUS is just being slammed for trying to lawyer up with their statements in their bios... Maybe they already done their own Failure Mode analysis know more to come with X3Ds degrading and possibly burning up.

My friend had issues getting his Asus B650M stable at 6000

I haven't tried 6000 on mine yet cause my RAM is 5600 (I bought it for cheap Hynix), but honestly is more of Asus throwing people under the bus

The Z690 Crosshair Hero boards having capacitors exploding is already a warning sign, to me I was stunned how they got this QC error got out in the world on an expensive high end board. A typical AOI system will be able to pick up the manufacturing defect, but seems like they failed to do so.

Was going to get the B650 and 7950X3D... Just a bit more than a X670E and 7800X3D but too many post on B650 not stable with EXPO (all brands)
