Hi all,

Im current on Starhub sim-only plan and thought of changing to Simba sim-only plan.

Im frequently travelling throughout asia and thought of getting Simba sim-only plan with roaming included. With Starhub, im paying $25 per month + $16 when roaming. I seldom use internet and mostly only whatsapp so 1-2Gb data is enough for me.

Pls kindly guide me.
Many thanks!

Is GOMO still the most recommended Singtel MVNO? Recently getting out of SH/Giga Network so want to try if ST is better for me. What's the verdict for GOMO vs ZYM vs Zero1?

Looking at the $10 comparisons (require around 10-20gb per month only) and without delivery fee/have option to collect

Zero1: Free Self-Collect | Classic 12-50gb promotional rate
GOMO: Option to Self-Collect is free also? | Lite 10gb
ZYM: $5 delivery fee | Basic 15-20gb | RoamPlus 4G 100gb

Is RoamPlus 4G still valid and is a no contract plan, though there is delivery fee? Saw it on a youtube video the other time
No it’s not the most recommended unless you die die need VoLTE. Yes RoamPlus 4G is still valid. Check out Vivifi as well, free sim delivery via regular post.

My Singtel SIM only plus 45 is expiring on 2 Nov and i did not receive any SMS offers for re-contract so I went ahead and tried to sign up for the promotion below but received a SMS that i am not eligible. Initially thought i needed to be on the Sim only plus 30 to qualify so i called 1688 and was told it has nothing to do with that and its just that my number dies not qualify for this without providing any details. Were you on Sim only plus 30 when you signed up for this promotion?

Yes I was on Singtel SIM Only Plus 30 when I signed up. I got another Singtel SIM Only Plus line and the contract will expire in about two months.

Last time the two lines were using SingTel Mobile Combo 2 plans. I clicked similar link and it went through as well. One line was initially at S$25 promotion (not the better S$20 promotion) but later recontract to the S$20 promotion the next year. The other line got the S$20 promotion at the first try.

Since the first better offer did not go through for you, you may want to try the second link, which is not too bad as well.
1) better offer 12 months free Caller ID, 12 month contract
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/eform/simonlycampaign

2) not as good offer: 6 months free Called ID, 12 months contract

With all these offers of free 5G, how about SIM card compatibility? Will we have to change SIM cards to truly test the 5G on our phones, and if so, be charged?

I took up an M1 offer with 5G and SIM card was FOC.

When I recontracted with Singtel, they offer me a one-time free SIM card upgrade to the 5G SA SIM card during the recontract process.

Singtel will change your SIM card for free if you switch over to a 5G plan.

So does the "5G data for first 3 months" offers come with free 5G SIM card? I presume the 3 months are for us to test ST 5G, and not exactly "changing to a 5G plan". 🤔

Current Singtel SIM Only recontract offer:

Common: 100GB of 5G data (for first 3 mths), 60GB of 4G data thereafter, 1,000mins Talktime, 500 SMS

1) better offer 12 months free Caller ID, 12 month contract
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/eform/simonlycampaign

2) not as good offer: 6 months free Called ID, 12 months contract (this is the one they sent to me)
https://www.singtel.com/personal/pr...term=SIMOnlyPlus&utm_content=Jan60GBfor20CID6

5G Access add-on promotion: S$1 per month, up to 6 months, no contract. This may be good to add afte the three month free 5G access, if you feel Singtel 4G coverage is getting a bit worse.

Not eligible. I checked with Singtel before.

But there is a tip you can try. I am lazy to try myself and I am happy with 5G NSA using the 4G SIM Card.

@xiaofan There's a clause about "Auto-Subscribe ReadyRoam" being turned on.

Data-roam for the line is optional, right? If I don't turn on Data Roaming, I won't be charged when I travel? :look:

How do I turn off this "Auto-Subscribe ReadyRoam"? :s34:

What is Singtel auto subscribe ReadyRoam?

AutoReadyRoam automatically activates the most affordable tier of multi-destination ReadyRoam plans that include the 1GB Neighbours 3 destinations plans, 4GB Asia 18 destinations plan, 6GB Worldwide 81 destinations plan and 1GB Others 157 destinations plan when you use data roaming in any of the ReadyRoam destinations ...

I think this is an okay add-on. As long as you do not turn on data roaming. there will be no charges.

If you really want to cancel, you can use MySingtel App, then go to "My add-ons" and then click "Auto-Subscribe ReadyRoam" to unsubscribe.

I just checked, I have the following six add-ons.
1) 5G service (QOS755) (aka 5G Now)
2) 4G ClearVoice
3) Caller ID
4) Pay-As-U-Roam
5) Auto-Subscribe ReadyRoam
6) 4G VAS (QOS555)

Thank you once again for your kind guidance (y) (y)

I'll go double-check my add-ons and ya, maybe just leave this Auto-Subscribe ReadyRoam on since my data roaming is off by default already. 👌

You should be able to use the following link. You can probably click the link three working days before the expire date.

5G Access add-on promotion: S$1 per month, up to 6 months, no contract. This may be good to add afte the three month free 5G access, if you feel Singtel 4G coverage is getting a bit worse.
