I can manage coldness relatively well. I wore just a heat tech long sleeve shirt and a normal jean from Uniqlo most the time when I am in the city area as the temp was aircon temp. I only have to wear a windbreaker jacket when I was in the mountain area.

I mainly went to those nature attractions, more towards a hiking trip.

The most famous attraction in Mito city is Kairakuen Garden for its plum blossom, which blooms around mid of March.

Anyway, I still went to see see look look the garden.

Bamboo and cedar tree forest.

This Taro cedar tree is said to be 800 years old.

The spring water of this area is said to be a remedy for vision problems.

Looking at the number of plum trees planted in this garden, I guess it will look spectacular during the full bloom period.

TS thread just reminds me my goal of doing the Shikoku Henro.

Shikoku is the only region left that I yet to step my foot into.

The next attraction beside/inside the garden is Kobuntei building.

There are many rooms inside the building, which has painting on the sliding doors. This is one of the rooms.

Visitor can climb up to the upper floor of the building to see the other view of the Kairakuen Garden.

Can see the nearby Senba Lake.

Nice. I will be spending a transnational 85 days trip to Japan after cny. So can catch the ending winter and sakura fall.

Next, I went to see the ginkgo trees at Ibaraki Prefectural Museum of History, it was still relatively green.

The leftover pot of ayu rice was made into rice ball for the next day breakfast.

Got two AMDLs sitting beside me during the dinner. They happened to visit SG before coming to Tokyo. They told me that our SG food is very nice to eat. But I bet they did not try our EDMW's favourite food, caipng.
