#17 volleyball match at one corner of the beach. good thing is wide angle i can catch the whole game. bad thing is lack of tele i cant get more impactful pictures, although it is probably very difficult to get one unless i can anticipate well.

#23 my fourth fav restaurant in spain. i especially like their decor. feel very authentic and after all it was an established old restoran. i like old school decor. and food wise also nice - i would recommend this. although i find it weird that they ask to record my passport details.

#24 i couldnt get a sharp picture due to limited minimal focusing distance and a lousy phone. so many areas appear soft and off focus. maybe will invest in a close up filter and a goby tripod, so that i will stop taking lousy picture for my food. aim is to take sharp food photo at least half as good as @FD Trinitron

#25, 26 most of my shots are taken in landscape mode as it is 2.35 aspect ratio which is too wide to be taken vertically. but this happen to be one of the few that is ok looking giving a view of the background to the food

#27 oceanographic area has many nice buildings. but the area is just too big. if i come at an earlier hour and pay for the entrance i would have spend some time indoor but i didnt. that more than an hour is hardly enough to chase the light around so many buildings. but it is an overcast late afternoon so many pictures are uninspiring only until the sunset then is a bit ok. i prefer the caixa as the dark blue makes a better contrast to the surrounding.

For me I'll choose UWA lens anytime for overseas outdoor shooting :deg:

Seems that japan is popular in edmw but i wont be there anytime, so just sharing pictures to spain using my iphone to take. wont be updating very fast as i dun have a batch workflow.

Thank you for sharing.. Ironically you mentioned Japan which is the last country I visited pre covid..
However, personal opinion, all things being equal (budget/sufficient time etc) the bigger cities I visited in Europe, eg, Rome, Paris, Prague, Budapest, Berlin are more memorable to me.

Anyway Spain/Portugal is on my next to visit list should I choose to visit Europe again.

Are prices still affordable? The recent bout of inflation especially in USA/Europe has somehow made me feel its not worth visiting Europe anymore (as compared to Asian countries). Pre covid I found prices in Europe to be actually quite affordable (apart from having fancy meals).

From your pics, I trust Spain is family friendly? A big consideration for me is finding affordable accomodation for a family of 4..

Yes they are all anamorphic

but I’m moving on to iPhone 15 pro. The old model will be soft on the lateral sides so will need to buy new lens

either moment or beast grip $150-300 usd. If I get a smallrig cage I may be able to more rapidly change lens via different mounting plate then it won’t be so monotonous.

Still not sure how much it will change my style by using different build in iphone lens vs mounted lens

I dun shop much. Transport cost is ok not cheap but affordable. Food wise it varies but given that sg is so ex now I think Spain u can splurge and get quality food at a portion of price here

flight and accommodation is ex. Barcelona especially. U would be looking at 200-350 per nite and if for kids maybe even more

valencia is however cheaper, less iconic than Barcelona but I like it. South Spain is also great although I never went before. That wouldn’t dismiss Barcelona - it is my third time there and I still haven’t finished the locations - there are just so much there

I will finish posting the Valencia pictures first then move on to Barcelona later.

whether family friendly might depend on the age of the kids but I think if they are old enough like above 8 they should be able to enjoy. If younger I think Asia better

travel light is one of the way that helps you to be more cautious of surrounding. and it all depends on how touristy a place is as the pickpocket needs to sustain a living and that cannot be done in ulu places. covid might have force some of them to switch to a honest living but dunno how is it now.
Can share any further tips to avoid being pickpocketed if you still have? Just curious for your previous unfortunate incident, was it someone suddenly stole and ran away from you or it was an incident that you weren't aware until later
