I think Spain is very value for money. My last visit to Spain I visited Madrid, Valencia and then Barcelona. I think I prefer Madrid.I dun shop much. Transport cost is ok not cheap but affordable. Food wise it varies but given that sg is so ex now I think Spain u can splurge and get quality food at a portion of price here
flight and accommodation is ex. Barcelona especially. U would be looking at 200-350 per nite and if for kids maybe even more
valencia is however cheaper, less iconic than Barcelona but I like it. South Spain is also great although I never went before. That wouldn’t dismiss Barcelona - it is my third time there and I still haven’t finished the locations - there are just so much there
I will finish posting the Valencia pictures first then move on to Barcelona later.
whether family friendly might depend on the age of the kids but I think if they are old enough like above 8 they should be able to enjoy. If younger I think Asia better

Agree that the visiting European cities is memorable as compared to Japan. I visit Europe almost every year except during Covid. This year I went twice to make up for it….
