moar's lawyer friend cannot stand the bullying of landlords here anymore! !!

she wants to restore balance to the force.

she asks ALL EDWM'ers who are landlords to insert this clause into their rental contract, be it now or in future.

CLAUSE:

The Tenant(s) hereby agrees to relinquish, to the Landlord during the duration of this tenancy agreement, all rights to CDC vouchers, GST vouchers, and/or Service and Conservancy Charges (S&CC) rebates, as may be disbursed by the Republic of Singapore in connection with the property rented by the Tenant(s) under this agreement.

once this clause is in, NO MORE DISPUTES.

EVERYTHING BELONGS TO THE LANDLORD !!!!!

vouchers belong to whoever is staying in the unit.

if landlord rented whole house, and there is a singaporean staying in it, tenant has the right to claim voucher.

landlord should have changed address within 28 days of renting out the unit or landlord can be persecuted.

anyone claiming landlord has the right to the vouchers clearly don’t know that the vouchers apply to whoever is staying in the unit and not who owns the unit.

I've encountered the same issue and I'm renting, pink IC but new house not ready yet...
Can only LLST and let landlord claim all the vouchers, it is for the owner of the house not the renters...
if you are renting a room.. or stay with the owner.. i think you can go cc to appeal..

Lol this just proves EDMW peeps all no brain. Come limpei give you answer from CDC directly. (https://vouchers.cdc.gov.sg/contact-us)
>
> 1. If the landlord and Singaporean tenant are both residing in the same unit, they are eligible to 1 household set of CDC vouchers each. If one party has claimed the vouchers, the other party can visit the CC to fill up the appeal form (bring NRIC and supporting documents e.g. tenancy agreement).
>
> 2. **If the landlord is owning the unit but not residing there, they should not claim for the CDC vouchers, as every household can only claim for the CDC vouchers under one property they are residing in.** You may get the landlord to update their registered residential address with the ICA.

Landlord will run and hide once renter go SCT, and make police report for unlawfully claiming what belongs to the renter.

Now landlord will have to answer police why they never change address and be in risk of being jailed.

Now the fundamental question.

Each household get $500. If a person has 2 properties rented out and he also stay in a 3rd condo. He gets $500 x 3?

If so, then why is the rich benefitting?

u can only register 1 address with ICA.

it's because people are being ignorant. logically they think the properties owner paid for property tax. therefore it's deserving for the owner to have the CDC. unfortunately that is not how it works

Government using it's fund to help the lower (in bracket. Lower income will get more help in GST Voucher or higher tax rebate.. like below 25k annual income, there is no income tax ) or like a gift which every unit get the same amount .. But this CDC is using household as the basis. meaning you can have a house hold with 6 or 1 person living (ICA or IC address) , either case they would still received $500

So the question gets answered. The owner of multiple property can only claim 1 address. Why vie with their tenants unless he is also staying there aka only 1 property and rent out 1 room.

moar's friend can tell you it's absolutely legal.... simply assignment of rights.

chop and stamp 100%

if you disagree, point case laws to support / substantiate

your 'lawyer friend ' doesnt read laws. you are the 'lawyer friend'

the landlord has to change address after renting out the whole unit. without the address, he cannot claim the voucher.

landlord has to change address.
you can’t claim cdc vouchers like that.

not legal and rental agreement can render invalid due to nonsensical and illegal clause.
