Of course u can! Just my 2cents: it'll become a pain if you are someone who reviews his transactions weekly, or goes through his credit card statement monthly.

It's a good habit to have especially in light of current state where fraudulent transactions can strike just about any moment(ie unauthorised use of ur CC). If you're using ur cc to tap through those gantries, you are expecting to have a lot more transaction lines to sieve through.

We down there since 2016 alrdy used cc & NFC phone to tap on bas & MRT liao. Somemore that time still gave us money for early & trial users
Nao ish 2024 still got ppl got cc but dun know can use it for tpt

Maybe he's a driver whose car just scrapped and now need to take public transport. I also not too sure about all the possible options, but then, I use my concession card.

I have been using my credit card for transport.

If I were to use NFC for payment, which apps do I use to tap? If it's transport use the simplygo? If it's for credit card payment at petrol kiosks, e.g. pay by ocbc 360 cards entitled to 14% discount, how do it use NFC with ocbc 360 cards to be entitled to the 14%, if I forgot to bring my card with me, only has phone?

i have everything needed but switched off nfc and refused to attach credit cards to mobile wallets. downloaded simplygo and deleted it coz the trip history, cash balance and tagged hp & name is a security leak (for me). for the same reason, i also don't use food delivery and taxi booking apps

yes, tapping with google pay is the same as tapping with the physical card itself all benefits included
u can even add multiple cards to gpay if u have and then choose which card to pay with

Got money every problem is no problem.

Somemore transport money is small money, no problem.

For me, i scared to use credit card liao. The way they deduct vely scary, i look at my statement i lost.

think of google wallet as converting your physical cards in ur physical wallet to digital cards in ur phone
just like singpass got our digital ic
whatever works with the physical card will also work with gpay (exceptions may apply)

I thought the cashier needs to see your physical card so that they can select the appropriate discount. Next time round, I will try Gpay.

the app displays whatever card u are paying with
if no verification required, i usually just unlock phone and tap, dont even need to open the app
p.s. when they ask u what u paying by just say paywave dont say google pay cuz some ppl still dont know what that is
