I don't see them as manageable.... you end up making your place like a jail or live with them...

birds keep coming, you can't really force them to go away unless you jail up your place and put reflectors and barbs...

I don't encounter birds issue .

Landed is living with your OWN trash, and 99% of your surrounding neighbors are usually well off & hygienic

actually not bad leh stay low floor,
theres some advantage to it.

staying mid floor of a heavily dense condo/hdb of at least 30floor, you prob have problem getting into the first lift that comes lol

Newer flats centralised rubbish chute, can be walking distance away

I stay near nature park area... so besides the common myna, sparrow, pigeons, there's also kwel, sun bird, chickens, white crested laughing thrush, pied imperial pigeons and house swallows nearby and some migrant birds that's not that common....

I think cats is an issue there... I notice a lot of ground level units went to cover up their stuff to deter cats too....

there's a difference... landed have their rubbish outside... so their issue is more of people dumping rubbish into their bins or bigger pest like snakes, rats, ants, termites, bees/hornets...

but that said... HDB units that besides tree also will have snake issue

I don't deny that there's issues for the estate.but a bigger issue for ground cause the birds are intrusive and do invade ground units place...
