I know but it seems to be useless now. Maybe in the future.
For users who want Digital Voice

Just ask for addon for the $69.95 plan. And if you subscribe to the higher priced plans then it's there already

For those who don't need it now, like me, then just leave it

The digital voice is just $2+/mth and for Homehub Ultra speed, it is included.

TP-Link SG website info for EB810V is next to nothing. Main highlight seems to be Remote Management and Aginet solution. After all, it is not meant to be directly purchased by consumers, but rather distributed through service providers like Starhub. And Starhub may be able to customize the FW just like what it did with Linksys and Nokia.

More info is available from Starhub.

For those with TP-Link EB810V, it will be good to post the screenshot of the router web UI to to see if has similar features to typical TP-Link Archer series like Archer BE800.

TP-Link SG website has more info with regard to TP-Link HB810 (Singtel), but take note Singtel is using XGS-PON ONR and configure the HB810 in AP mode, so most of the advanced features are gone.

AP mode web UI. The CPU may be a pretty good one as it can at least goes to near 8Gbps (probably still not good to go to about 8.2Gbps speed if using a PC).

MR's TP-Link Archer BE805 may be a bit behind in terms of the HW specs.
1) lack of 2.5G ports
2) BE19000 rated vs BE22000 rated of the EB810v and HB810.

But I think Archer BE805 may have slightly better firmware features compared to EB810v/HB810. For example, there is support of Wireguard VPN. I do not see such a feature from the available EV810v/HB810 infomation. I may be incorrect though. Need the users of EB810v/HB810 to confirm.

Actually SH wifi 7 router the processor speed of 2.2 is not fast and just 1Gb RAM only. However it should be quite ok if compared to the earlier Nokia wifi 6 router.

Thank you so much for your detailed response. Strange I didn't get any notifications from HWZ with new replies... Anyways I have updated the setup per your instructions. Since the 2.5Gbps switch is quite affordable so I will also get one in my Study to have wired connection to both my work PC and Gaming PC.

One more question: I found some dead spots in my master bedroom due to 2 walls in between. I checked with Starhub and they mentioned I can topup $360 to get 1 more this Wifi7 router, which can be placed in my master bedroom to form the wifi mesh like below, do you think this is feasible?

I recommend connecting the mash units via CAT6A or CAT7 instead via mash Wi-Fi for maximum efficiency and performance.

That is correct provided that there is cable point available. I think many more people will sign up because of this WiFi 7 router and no need to top up $. It is good for budget users like me.

Anyone thinks that the it fair in March would provide any better deals worth waiting for on these 10gbps plans.

I do not think so, unless M1/VQ jump into the bandwagon of 10Gbps plan, which is unlikely in March 2024.

The only thing may be that Singtel will cut down the price to match Starhub's offering, but Starhub's plan (now using XGS-PON ONT) is better than Singtel's 10Gbs plan (using XGS-PON ONR) even if the price is the same.

BTW, Singtel used to have 10Gbps plan offer for new users at S$70.36 per month which came close to Starhub's pricing (S$69.95 per month). Now the offer seems to be gone and back to S$86 per month.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/10gbps

Old Singtel promotion info back in late Dec 2023, at S$69.72 per month with TP-Link HB810 WiFi 7 router. The user in the end got the offer at S$70.36 per month in Jan 2024 (due to GST increase from 8% in 2023 to 9% in 2024)

The good support of Wifi 7 adapters like Intel BE200 will only come with Windows 11 24H2 later this year.
And my laptop only has 2 pifa ant. How to mount the 3rd pifa ant without disassembly of the display's shell haha.
Even if can install the new minipci or m2 and buy pifa ant... Haiz mybfd

Self corrected. Wondering how 2 pifa can do MLO...

Any idea if TP-Link's mesh supports guest network over the mesh?

Good question. The documentation of TP-Link EasyMesh is not good and even worse for Operator versions like TP-Link EB810V and HB810. Hopefully users can chime in and report about the features, including useful features like this.

I tend to think it should work.

TP-Link Deco is fine in this aspect. Guese Network is working on the satellite Deco units. Take note TP-Link Deco mesh is not compatible with TP-Link EasyMesh.
