I'm not trying to be a dr, but I'm on Metformin 850mg, one morning, one night.
I complained my throat feels like a lot of mucous, I can't eat much. Eat a bit and feel nauseous.
Later dr, dropped it to one morning 850mg, then I feel better.

I also have 3 other types of diabetes pills. My current hb1ac is 7.8

This is just a reference, follow your dr prescription is the best.

Nowadays, I tried to eat mostly vegetables. I seldom have meat, pork or chicken.
Have a big cup of green tea, and drink it for the day.

Why so? Because of proteins?

Those without sweet taste?
For protein, eat tofu, egg. A bit of meat now and then.

Green tea, is just a packet soaked in hot water, without any sugar. I can drink it slowly throughout the day.
I remember last time in PRC office, they always drink tea (without sugar).

HbA1c was at 9.8, when I started seeing dr, and on medication. It hovered around 9.x for a long time.
Then suddenly, there was a "breakthrough", not sure why, and it started dropping down to 8 and then 7.x
In my case, I believe diet and exercise plays a big role. Medicine just controls it, but it can't do very much.

Those sold in supermarket. I didn't go for any special ones.
But preferably look for Japanese type with individual alum wrap is better, so as to keep longer.

Green tea is a matter of getting use to it. Take a airtight bottle, drop a packet with hot water in, can slowly sip throughout the day.

Did a 40min walk, 5k steps. Just measured 6.1. Hopefully waking level would be lower.

How do I get my pancreas back to normal?

Rest and recovery, and fasting gives time to your pancreas to recover and work again for producing insulin and enzymes. Sleeping or fasting enables pancreas to regenerate enzymes.

Sorry to my body that I am slow to learn this
