just asking, anyone with dual condenser does this test before?

system 1 condenser 1 : switch on for a few hr. then switch off
system 1 condenser 2 : switch on the moment you switch off condenser 1

will the condenser 2 running in full load? as in for starmex will the led operation light on or off

Hi all, wanna seek advice from the gurus here. I’m offered 2 options by AC installer. Would like to know if going for a single condenser system 4 is really not recommended? Context: 3 bedrooms will turn on AC every night. Living area prob once a week. Thank you! 🙏🏼

Option1:
ME Sys3 (3H28): Living 24k + MBR 13K
ME Sys2 (2H20): Bedrm1 10k + Bedrm2 10K

Option2:
ME Sys4 (4H33): 13/10/10/10

Dual condensers , option for 10+10+18k and 13+18k , get 2 system 3 will work greater.

Multi-split design for 18k and 24k single operation only.
10x 3 able to turn on same time.

If wanna combine with 18 or 24.
Try to turn on 10+10+18 or single 24 maximum capacity from system 3 and 4.

really not suitable to turn on 4 fcus on same time , no matter system 4 33 or 38 model

Hi, may I know if your home is a new HDB, old HDB, HDB Jumbo, old old condo, landed or terrace? Got difference on selection 😂

Next question is, do you even be allowed to install 2 condensers? Need to check first then discuss further.

Last, how big is your areas that needed cooling? Some living need 30K BTU, some 18K BTU, some 15K BTU, some 50K BTU etc etc

Thank you all. I accept all fair criticisms, as i admit i did not read all 330 pages of discussions here, but i started following recent discussions!

It's an old 20yo condo. Have gotten 2 AC installers to do site visit for quotation and i'm following their advice for required BTU per area. So to clarify, i'm seeking advice on the right combination to use :)

Am leaning towards this -
ME Sys3 (3H28): Living 24K + MBR 13K
ME Sys2 (2H20): Bedrm1 10K + Bedrm2 10K

1 of the AC guy suggests: (abit shock, i thought Sys3 can't support all 3 rooms at same time)
ME Sys3 (3H28): MBR 13K + Bedrm1 10K + Bedrm2 10K
ME Sys1 (R32): Living 24K

floor area and layout is important…

a longish room vs a square room will need different setup.

Do you know how many condensers you can place?

Oh really don’t understand?

the specs info show in the brochure.
No matter system 4 4h33 or 4h38 , support up to 4 x 10k or single unit 24k only.
If sharing all, the btu and cooling very minimum only, don’t wasted money to install higher Btu on 4h38, this is useless

https://www.mitsubishielectric.com....6bd0fbbfde6c/Starmex-R32-Details-Nov-2023.pdf

you haven’t review the floor area of this condo and layout.

by doing this no difference wi try aircon salesman

For here only suggested , we are not the salesman’s.
The overall is the buyer budget and house condition to install how big condensers on existing aircon ledge.

to me multi-split combination, maximum to go 3 FCU on same time. More than 4 units, should shut down either 1 room or 4 rooms 10k btu.

there is no such thing to operate 10x3 + 24 or 18k from system 4. 🤣🤣🤣

Anything is possible
Whether the desired outcome is achieved..
Either one puts up with the outcome of having not cold enough output
Or one rejoices in the savings
Or one spends more money to change the entire system

nothing money can’t solve 👍

Since OP said new comers never read before post so I spent the last 2-3 days to read about 200++ pages. o_O instead of just a few pages according to him/her.

Concluded a few points from all the old birds here:
-heng suay due to installation
-buy an underpowered system means might stress the condenser even harder (everyone mileage is different)
-better to buy ew if it is worth to your setup

Also to share my quotes from GC for future new comers.
(Initial)
ME 33VG + 9/9/12/24 , $4779

(Option 1)
ME 38VG + 9/9/9/18, another $490

(Option 2)
ME 28VG + 9/9 ,$3139
ME 28VG + 9/18, $3219. so another $1500+

I think since already pay so much, another 500 -2000 really doesn't matter anymore. As long as it can last long 😂 again nothing is confirmed

Maybe this had been discussed before, or I missed it.

My friend just got her 3rm resale at Marsiling and installed Starmex. The pipings are run at the bottom instead of at the top (beam or ceiling).

what could the reasons to do so?
