If your household not many users and all on wifi, then probably Simba better, cos all will be sharing the 2.5Gbps.

But if you have different users on a LAN & wifi, then Whizcomms probably better.

I just have my free Whizcomms upgrade from 1gbps to 2.5gbps. I'll probably have 1 cable to my smart TV which is next to the ONR. Then 1 cable to my laptop using the existing pre-lay ethernet cable I've. Lastly, 1 line to my wifi 6 router.

The upgrading will neither have material costs nor savings. However, I don't see any substantial improvement in performance since my family of 4 most intensive usages are TikTok and YouTube. In fact, my other family member will probably not know about the upgrade. All the upgrade does is a temporary psychic boost, LOL!

lol. Yes, unless your user is live streaming with a lot of viewers, probably will notice some difference, or do big downloads with one dedicated port at least won't hog the bandwidth for other users.

Thinking of one theory to get more bandwidth from the Whizcomms limit ... that is to pull a LAN and connect to my desktop at the same time connect wifi, then use the app 'Speedify' to merge both LAN and wifi connections, can get 2 Gbps? Then leave 500mbps for other users, hehe.
Should work right?

No idea how well Speedify works.

If you read the Whizcomms thread, people are able to use Dual WAN Load Balancing with the Whizcomms ONR using wireless routers which are cable of Dual WAN Load Balancing and 2.5G LAN port. Then you can get about 1.5Gbps to 1.8Gbps Download Speed from the 2.5G LAN port, and you can also get >1Gbps from the WiFi.

Some routers with Dual WAN Load Balancing capability and 2.5G LAN port.
1) Asus RT-AX86U, RT-AX86U Pro, TUF-AX6000 (China version is called TX-AX6000), GT-AX6000
2) Xiaomi BE 7000 (quad 2.5G ports), BE6500 Pro (quad 2.5G ports)

2.5Gbps not yet stable launching 10Gbps soon !

Still we have to thank SIMBA for bringing down the price of 2.5Gbps plan (at least WC responded with S$21.8 2.5Gbps plan) and now 10Gbps plan.

Let's what will happen after this -- who knows whether WC will also come out with 10Gbps plan at the same price (S$32.69 per month with 9% GST) or not.

Thanks a lot bro! Didn't know my router can configure this. But think due to my limited networking knowledge, can't seem to get it working.
Tried dual wan, load balancing with wan1 WC + wan2 MR or both wan1 & 2 WC, also cannot achieve desired result, slower than using normal 1Gpbs port alone... :(
From router admin can see the wireless connection to router TX rate is 1800-2100mbps, but actual speed test cmi.

Such cheap 10G plans must be no-frills type. With extra router you'll need to pay more

You'll need WIFI 7 router for your smartphones! Furthermore, with WIFI 7's limited range and wall penetration, you'll need a WIFI 7 mesh of 2-to-3 nodes for complete coverage in a typical 100sqm home. The costs will shoot through the roof!

I wonder if they will let those are using their 2.5 Gbps plan to upgrade to the 10 Gbps plan.

Technically you have 12 month contract for the 2.5Gbps plan so they may accept or reject the request.

On the other hand, in this case, since SIMBA 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps plan are no-frills plan, I tend to think that they will allow the upgrade without early termination fee for the 2.5Gbps plan. Let's wait and see.

Why? 10Gbps plan does not mean you need to use WiFi 7 router. Most of the flats around 100 sqm will only need one good router or two mesh nodes. 3-nodes are usually for those with unfortunate floor plan and placement constraints (often self-imposed).

So it is perfectly fine to use a 10G capable router like Asus RT-AX89X (WiFi 6) or Xiaomi BE10000 (China version of WIFi 7, no 6GHz). Both have dual 10G ports. And for the mesh node you may not need to use 10G capable mesh node either -- 2.5G capable AP may be good enough.

For example, you can get Xiaomi BE10000 + Xiaomi BE6500 Pro.
Xiaomi BE10000 triband (dual 10G ports, maybe good for 10G plans): RMB1499
Xiaomi BE7000 (quad 2.5G ports, good match for 2.5G plans): RMB799
Xiaomi BE6500 Pro (quad 2.5G ports, good for 2.5G plans): RMB699
