Anyone tried dental in Bukit Indah area?

Btw will cleaning / scaling help to alleviate sensitive teeth?
Think is on and off. Sometimes will feel sensitive when using left side to bite.

Say Scaling & Polishing (RM120), include consultation too?

Any idea how much is per filling average?
Usually the dentists will have a general inspection eg decays, cavities etc. before Scaling & Polishing. Any more indepth may charge more if they suspect something eg needing X-ray etc

Whatsapp the Clinics for their prices.

Any1 has any recommendation/s for RCT specialist/endodontist (jb) for molar?

I read thru most of the pages and only a few mentions abt molar treatments:
ProDental - 2900rm (referred by ch tee)
Alpha Dental - referred by e&e

I was quoted ard 3k rm by ProDental & JDental; 3 - 3.6k rm by Alpha Dental.

SG specialists mostly in 1200 (KTPH) - 1500$ or even upto 2k range... Sooo ex!

U need to consider also if u ok to go down 4 separate trips at least for the RCT and crowning.
I did KTPH back molar (so maybe slightly more) for $2k recent. JB 3k rm for specialist is likely just the RCT, not including crowning yet. Non specialist then maybe 3k rm possible.

Thanks for input bro!

I called KTPH n they told me molar is ard 1.2k++ onwards. With referral letter from polyclinic (any medical gp will do), a further subsidy of 200++ is applicable... Prob is, earliest slot is June... sianz 1/2

Im semi retired so going for a few trips jalan jalan look c look c is fine w me..

Just called up Wong Endodontics (14c Jln Harimau), and was quoted 1.6 - 2k for molar (excl crowning of cos...). The specialist was referred by E&E before, for my other tooth last yr (din follow up as most dentists in sg suggested I implant straightaway).

Weird enuff, the recept insisted tht clinic needs referral letter - either jb or sg. Ask y, she said doctor will refer back for crowning instructions or sthg...

Not sure if the quote is too good to be true.. Not much google review/s. Will try n update more..

Actually a lot of ppl look at just pricing. One of my friend did dental implant before and he told me the difference between cheap and expensive dental implant

cheap one
(1) extract tooth and same day screw in the implant
(2) the dentist don’t cover the implant fully
(3) resulting in easier to access to do the abutment
(4) Then crown
(5) if you have 2 implants, usually they do 1 bridge instead of 2 crowns

Fitting usually ok (can use but not perfect)

Expensive one
(1) extract tooth and wait for infection to clear
(2) Once infection clear, do grafting to ensure bone is strong
(3) Wait for months for bone to strengthen and then do implant planning on 3D.
(4) Dental surgeon will check your nerve location so that he/ she will not kana your nerve
(5) Implant and cover surgical site fully
(6) Do 3 checks in 6 months including x ray
(7) Open up surgical site and install abutment
(8) Do a mock up crown
(9) Do actual crown (usually 2 separate crown if there are 2 implants
(10) Check fitting

Usually implant will be Swee Swee.

So when you go JB or find cheap one, need to ask to make sure you are getting good deal

This thread finally made it to big time. Straight Times.

Already mentioned in 2019
https://www.channelnewsasia.com/new...ost-johor-bahru-bangkok-singaporeans-11913880

High costs: Why Singaporeans are going elsewhere for dental procedures

Dr CH Tee, who has run a dental clinic in the Taman Sentosa neighbourhood of Johor Bahru for the past two decades, said he has seen an increase in the number of patients from Singapore in recent years.

He estimates that around 30 per cent of his patients now come from across the Causeway, which he attributes to word-of-mouth recommendation among his clientele.

On tech portal HardwareZone's online forum, a thread dating back to 2017 has more than 170 posts on where to go for dental treatment in Johor Bahru.

The thread remains active, with recommendations of particular clinics in the Malaysian city, as well as commenters sharing their experiences with individual dentists and how much clinics there charge for specific procedures.
