Actually a lot of ppl look at just pricing. One of my friend did dental implant before and he told me the difference between cheap and expensive dental implant

cheap one
(1) extract tooth and same day screw in the implant
(2) the dentist don’t cover the implant fully
(3) resulting in easier to access to do the abutment
(4) Then crown
(5) if you have 2 implants, usually they do 1 bridge instead of 2 crowns

Fitting usually ok (can use but not perfect)

Expensive one
(1) extract tooth and wait for infection to clear
(2) Once infection clear, do grafting to ensure bone is strong
(3) Wait for months for bone to strengthen and then do implant planning on 3D.
(4) Dental surgeon will check your nerve location so that he/ she will not kana your nerve
(5) Implant and cover surgical site fully
(6) Do 3 checks in 6 months including x ray
(7) Open up surgical site and install abutment
(8) Do a mock up crown
(9) Do actual crown (usually 2 separate crown if there are 2 implants
(10) Check fitting

Usually implant will be Swee Swee.

So when you go JB or find cheap one, need to ask to make sure you are getting good deal
JB still ok for the basic stuff like cleaning, polishing & basic fillings. More complex surgery like root canal, crowning etc I will gladly do it in SG.

JB's dentists are just as talented as SG's.

I think those who are not claiming dental charges from office, can try boleh land. So far my 2 fillings done there are good.
Doc also text me and ask how's my filling. She also say she showed my xtrays to their specialists to check if any further actions needed. (y)

Anyone who knows of a dentist or a doctor (derma) who can do botox for teeth grinding in JB?

My two dentists here suggesting me to try botox to see whether it will solve my problem more effectively probably after two of three times injection. I enquired price and was quoted $600 - $1000 per time (depending on how much botox needs to be used).

Came back from JB with my new night guard. Very well made and pleased with it (managed to collect it on the same day).

Dentist is at Mid Valley, considered as an 'atas' clinic. She was patient, detailed and gentle.

Their guard price is reasonable (same as the one I made in Mahkota Hosital Dentistry Dept few years back. E&E and CHT quoted me same price) - RM300 (incl about 20 min consultation) vs SGD300 - 500 if made in Spore.

Then I managed to find a place to botox my jaws. Am so impressed with the results. The jaw muscles like almost immediately feel relaxed (that I have been clenching for donkey years that I didn't even know what a 'relaxed jaw' should feel like). I slept so well last night!

RM888 that could last me 4- 6 months. My Spore dentist asked me to try for 2 years and if I am lucky enough, my jaw muscles may lost it's 'reflex' to clench after I stop the botox = will minimise the risk of I losing my teeth /high implant expenses due to chips/cracks from bad clenching habit.

So if you have the same bad reflex habit as me of clenching teeth, can try botox (do it under licensed doctor and never under beautician).

*the 'atas' prices of the dental clinic:

Alpha dental hv few branches. If u always go ksl. Suggest u try book ksl. They hv WhatsApp to make appt. I go Sutera mall side cos doc is there. 😁

Alpha Dental KSL is the only clinic that quoted me RM800 for the night guard (when others, about 5 JB enquiries I made, all quoting me RM300). I wonder Alpha's higher prices is it due to they residing in KSL.

Having tooth filled lands S’pore man in hospital when part of dental tool falls down his throat https://www.straitstimes.com/singap...ospital-when-drill-head-falls-down-his-throat

Jurong Polyclinic...

Didn't say what tool when down his throat & came out the other end 😂😂

Hilarious, and victim has to pay for this out of own pocket! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
On May 31, a scan showed that the object was near or in the big intestines. Said Ms Rina then: “I don’t know whether to laugh or to cry. There seems to be no damage, but it is still inside. They are now sending all his poo to the lab to check if it has come out.

so the lab has an Exfiltration Salvage Specialist

I don’t understand why he has to pay for all the procedures himself. Thought the dental clinic needs to be responsible?
