Yesterday was slightly red so I took the opportunity yesterday to do my June DCA of VWRD, VUSD, VHYD, VUKE , VDPX.

In this market red days don't last long and it seems that every red day is followed by several green days. Quite scary to buy at these elevated levels which is why I am not stock picking at these prices, instead just buy ETF.... 😅
There are some good stocks like Micron

Micron has rallied significantly, like the rest of the market, risk has increased. What was your entry price and average buying price? (I assume you buy stocks that you recommend - I generally ignore analysts and those who recommend stocks that they themselves dont buy :ROFLMAO: )

Lol... there's no 'swing'....I sell based on my personal price target I've set for them and the amount of profit I want to realize per quarter. There are no 'grand strategy' and I am not a day trader (I despise them in fact 😂)... it's just dumb luck for me most of the time....but hey, at least Im glad I don't have dunning Kruger effect. It can be very easy to fall into a hole thinking all the profit I've gained so far is due to my 'insightful investment strategies' but I cannot really kid myself. It is really just luck.

I've retired from last job of senior engineer at a Bank since the end of 2022 so technically, I am earning $0 salary per month. I don't pay income tax.
How old were you when you retired?

We are probably living in the best times of stock market investing and we are not even realising it. I feel sorry for people who are not participating in the markets, just imagine the amount of extra work they need to do to reach the same amount of networth.

Yes it is quite surreal when a day increase of your portfolio is worth a few months of your salary. Of course the converse can be true (ie declines)

As a dividend investor, I treat any cash flow coming in from my investment as an increment or bonus. It is so substantial after many years that I don't even bother with my job performance and I don't kiss ass.

I follow CANSLIM methodology. Buying stocks off their base. Started accumulating MU around 125-130.

Triple digit forecasted EPS growth qoq. And sales and margin growth more than 40%. Monster

In AI revolution, the hardware sellers benefit more than software seller. It's like CISCO in the 90s when the internet is built up from scratch with Cisco network servers and switches

My networth just hit 1.7Million. 2 Million now seems on the horizon, over the next year.

We just had a great trip to KL/Genting and I realized I am a cheap traveller, I dont enjoy spending a lot of money. Rather, I like to explore a place slow, use public transport, because that is the best way to meet people and learn about the country.

We went to an Elephant Santuary in Kuala Gandah, which is like 2 hrs from KL, We 1st took the monorel from KL Sentral to Titiwangsa, then in the bus station there(Pekeliling) we took a bus to Temerloh and got down in a remote town called Lanchang. There was nothing there on the highway, just a couple of small Restaurants and a shop near the bus stand. The elephant santuary was 14kms from there. We asked the restaurant people if we can get any taxi and they said, there is no taxi there. But the lady at the restaurant was kind and she called her brother, who came in a run down Proton Saga, atleast 20 years old and offered to drop us and pick us up again after couple of hrs for 60RM. The whole trip took us a lot of time but it was so cheap and we just love this way of travelling, rather than what normal people do, just hire a car or book a tour to the elephant santuary and back.

We also went to Batu caves on the KTM commuter, its frequency is 45mins to hr lol.

Also to add, we went to Larkin and took the bus to KL on the spot, without any pre-booking, it cost RM 35 per person, vs a direct bus from Singapore would cost us SGD 35. On the way back we came to Larkin and tried the Dominos near the Larkin sentral, Dominos Pizza in MY beats Dominos SG, hands down. It was also so cheap, I had to install Dominos Malaysia app via APK and SG playstore dont allow Dominos MY. This is the only way to order now in Dominos, via their app, but they have great offers, 2 regular pizza+ garlic bread+coke RM 40

When I retire, I have even more time to spend so I can travel slow and save money, like the Ang mohs do.

Its seems that buy and hold beats wheeling recently.
I missed AVGO last night.
Just like HPe, I knew very well that AVGO gonna shoot up but the premium is so high so instead of buying calls, I sold puts. I got 1k instead of maybe 20k. 😑

Similar cases with crwd, zscaler, and affirm.

Gonna double down on DELL.

Elsewhere BABA is still $70 to $80.

How did you reach 1.7 millions? From salary and investment compounding? You mentioned you earn 20k per month?

Sold all and never look back.
The opportunity cost is really painful 😔
9988 is still hovering at 7x 🤣
Can someone send a wellness check on master leong?
I don’t know why Master fall in love with stocks……he needs to find real love in real world and treat stocks like socks (change if lags). Even PDD (temu) is doing better than baba

Dell? Only up 0.13% while the other AI stocks like ARM, MU up at least 3%.

Personally I would avoid Dell (only stories and no good earning growth to share)

I like travelling slow as well. One good way to do is to visit friends who are abroad and have the local knowledge and can bring you around. Similarly, when my friends visit SG, I take the effort to take 1/2 day leave to drive them around.

Yes, my salary is like 150k a year, including bonus. Pre COVID salary was like 120k. I got good hike and promotion after COVID. I worked in SG for 15 years. So it is not very difficult to make that much in 15 years even with moderate salary, if you are frugal. My investment gains are pretty average, I got into the game quite late.

The biggest determinant of your networth is your savings rate and consistency, not investment gains. Extraordinary investment gains happen only for a lucky few.
