Perhaps, you should drop them a mail to check on your status.

Psychometric test meaning U got through the first group interview/sharing session? That would mean u have a panel interview coming up and have completed the situational test. The psychometric tests are personality tests. It's nothing U can prepare for. It's just a matter of fitment. Just to assess if your personality fits what they are looking for.

Nope, that is not the case. A couple of weeks after submitting my application on careers@gov, I received an email notifying me that I was shortlisted for an online psychometric test, with no mention of any group interview or sharing session. Could you perhaps share a rough timeline prior to your letter of appointment?

congrats on the LOA! RO? Are you entering July intake?
My application still in progress, went through psychometric test recently. If there's progress, don't mind if I DM you more in the future for more info ya.

The RO HR coordinator mentioned next 2 intakes are July and January.

Application > one month or so after is group interview and situational assessment (psychometric assessment) > a few days after email to complete submission of docs > a few days after email for panel interview and personality test > panel interview around 2 weeks to one month after email ( might get postponed by them) > a few days after panel interview received email to book and attend medical > one month after medical received offer.

Rough timeline. It's not fixed and is subject to changes so don't get too fixated on it.

For the benefit of incoming applicants, I am sharing the timeline of my application here. Your process may not be the same, as all of this is in the past.

---
2023
3 July - Application on CareersGov
2 August - Selection Assessment
22 August - Psychometric Test
(12 September - Reminded HR about my outcome in the morning via email, then was informed of my Panel Interview details same day)
25 September - Panel Interview
26 September - Notice to Schedule PEME (Pre-Employment Medical Examination)
Numerous PEME appointments in between
11 December - Offer of Appointment

(2.5 months waiting due to medical complications which turned out to be false alarm)

2024
8 January - Name Tag Text Submission
6 February - Uniform Fitting
12 March - Details of Training Released
21 March - Signing (requires TWO sureties)
1 April - Attachment
15 April - Start of residential phase at Home Team Academy
---
I found that it is difficult to find any information online about this. Hence, here are some basic tips for applicants, I will not answer any additional questions though:

(1) Build up your physical strength in both cardio and muscle mass, you'll thank me later!
(2) Recognise that Rehabilitation is not the main purpose of this role --> if you are looking for that then further your career in Psychology or the like
(3) Read up on roles of a Correctional Unit Officer from other countries, through YouTube, Reddit & Quora forums to improve your understanding of what you are signing up for

1 April - Attachment
My attachment prior to training commencement is 2 weeks like yours too. I don't know what to expect for this. I presume it's a staff department attachment to give us a preview of our future postings.

Also, great tips for incoming trainees and applicants. Thanks for sharing!

Anyone else had their panel interview in the 2nd week of july? I saw previous posts which mentioned they received the email for medical check within 2 days after finishing panel interview but till now I have not received any email…. does this mean i am rejected?
