As mentioned earliier, I am following a rule where every time I buy individual stock, I must buy ETF to balance out and diversify.

While my FLCT is flatlining at $0.930 which is around my purchase prices of $0.94 and $0.925, all my ETF purchases of VWRD, VHYD and WQDV go up in price everyday..... 🤔

one day after posting this, FLCT price suddenly went up....

REITs taking off, like finally....

Lucky you.

Check the bank stocks vs REITS.
Looks more like unwinding of short-term trades (long bank stocks, short REITS) that were driving the market recently.
Still a good sign.

Update: similar thing happened in US market post-CPI.

That has long been priced in by the bond market. I doubt the local market only figured this out today, its not that inefficient...

Not sure about this because bank stocks are going up and up. Where is the priced in?

The bond market has definitely already priced in at least 150bps of cuts, just look at the low rates at which SGD corps are borrowing, they are down to where they were in 2019, back when FFR was 1.5%. Also some reits like CICT (52 wk high) appear to be doing very well so I doubt this is IR related.

And I have no idea why bank stocks are going up or why certain reits are selling off, I would be the richest person in the world if I knew.

SGX allow shorting. So bank stocks or reit all rotate and played by them. Go download the daily short sell report from SGX and see.

CLR is an ETF. So market maker in charge of CLR just issue more shares.

Then the various components are bought heavily leading to the sudden spike.
