Agreed. It was meant to encourage users of Healthy 365 app to take up Healthy Challenge through gamification and rewards.
It was towards post Covid-19, when outdoor activities were encouraged, and certain PCN like Jurong Lakeside, Bedok Reservoir, Railway Corridor, Mount Faber routes (min 2km+) were selected as part of "active walks/runs" with Points and Bonus.
10k steps is just a Challenge, not meant to be a Standard for Healthier Lifestyle. Most Healthy 365 users will Daily Max 10k steps walk like 30mins in the morning and 30mins in the evening (3-6 - 4 km), Hardcore Healthy 365 uses will 5k step brisk walk in the morning and 5k step brisk walk in the evening (5-6km). Of course, 10k step run will be like 8-10km (if using GPS route instead of Steps).
Steps and Pace: Walk (short and slow), Brisk Walk (moderate), and Run (further and fast). If 10k Steps per day, it is still up to the Individual Healthy Lifestyle.
Due to work, weekdays just enough Steps to and fro Home to Work. Weekends, just go 80k steps/brisk walk/run max or more.
