From what I see, no options to bridge the ZTE F8648 XGS-PON ONR with the current firmware.

1) bridge one port -- lose internet immediately, can recover

2) click ONT option, kind of brick the ONR, need to carry out Hard Reset and fill in some info as per the report in this thread.

3) Hybrid mode, I clicked it once (not yet commit the change) and it seemed to cause problems already, I had to reboot the ONR to recover.

Maybe Hybrid Mode still got some chance but I don't want to try any more.

Hi everyone good news, just installed the 10G sintel. and I already found the zte f8648p superadmin password.

username: support
password: reverse your GPON default password

but unfortunately, I logined to check, there's totally dont have bridge mode setting button...
Hi,

Can I confirm that the password is the reverse of the root password printed on the ONR? I tried and it doesn't work.

Regards,
Maddie

If you have not change the default "root" account password, that should be the way for the "support" account.

If you have changed the password for the "root" account, then try the reverse of your new root password for the "support" account.

It didn’t work even though I didn’t change the default password.

I just realised that I’m on the 5Gbps plan whilst this thread is for the 10Gbps. Maybe Singtel uses different scheme for different plans?

No. I am using SingTel 5Gbps plan and the above scheme works for me.

What is your ONR FW version?

Agreed this is the method, had my 5Gbps installed over the weekend and the reverse password works as well for support login.

Meanwhile just had some time to set up my routers and loving wifi 7 (of course not the range)

Using S24 Ultra

Very nice WiFi 7 speed. Are you using Singtel issued HB810 router?

Hi, just got the singtel 5gbps plan thinking I could bridge the 10gb port. Is there no way to do so now?

No way to do it as far as I know...

I am stuck with the unbridged ZTE F8648P ONR myself...

As of now there may be a few solutions.
1) Live with Double NAT and use DMZ for your own 10G router.

2) There is one user who managed to convince Singtel to give him another XGS-PON ONR model from Nokia, which can be easily bridged as per the user.

3) Try to use an XGS-PON ONU to replace the ZTE F8648P ONR, this may work, especially if you do not have Singtel TV and Digital Voice.

One user is trying now.

Yes, replace ZTE F8648P ONR for 10Gbps plan with VSOL V2905H. Already get PON and WAN up but can't get public IP in bridge port. Those with GPON experience, can share how to resolve this ?

I have the TV service so I guess that won't work. Is getting the nokia ONR a simple request?

I would not say it is impossible but so far only one user got Nokia XGS-PON ONR.

It is for sure not a simple request. Anyway, you can try.

I am stuck with the unbridged ZTE F8648P ONR myself...

Hey there,

Just did the upgrade today with Singtel... 10gbps plan.

Opted for the HB810 2x thinking i could configure myself.
Asked the installer to bridge for me the same ZTE F8648P, a hard no here and there and I gave up asking.

The worse part is that:
- My Asus XG-C100C can only give me up to 5000mbps from Speedtest.
- My oppo find n3 even though it was wifi7 capable, the 6ghz signal was not picked up. But the ipad pro m4 of mine was able to pick up the SSID.
- Was tinkering some configurations by doing ONR > Unify Flex XG > PC and HB810, ended up destroying the main 192.168.1.1 config page of the HB810, and i can no longer sign in to the configuration page already T_T.

Overall i am just stuck now with only the ipad pro m4 having the best setup.....

Any solutions on above "worse parts"? ahahhaaa.

Felt like my upgrade was a downgrade...

1) Asus XG-C100C (or TP-Link TX401) uses Marvell AQC113 chipset and it is not very good. But you can try to disable anitvirus program to see if you get beter speed. Windows is a bit problematic with 10G network, especially with Marvel AQC107/AQC113 based 10G NICs.

You can get much better yet cheaper 10G NICs: please check this thread.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/1gbe-and-beyond-ethernet-adapters.7068236/

2) No idea about your Oppo Find N3 but you can try to connect to the 6GHz only SSID to see if that works. Or try the MLO SSID.

3) For HB810, worst case is to factory reset and try agin.

4) I think you can still try to configure the following and use the 10Gbps plan more effectively.

Singel ZTE F8648P ONR 10G LAN port -- Unifi USW-Flex-XG 10G Switch -- HB810 x 2 (Ethernet backhaul) and PC with 10G LAN

Hey Xiaofan,

Thanks for the rapid response!

1) didn't know this model was useless... was thinking to get X540-T2s from aliexpress. What are your thoughts?
2) That was the point i wanted to connect to the 6ghz band but the phone can't find the band which was very strange. Does MLO reduces the speed?
3) It seems that the router is changing the ip dynamically as it resets. lucky i am still paired with the phone app so not gonna dwell on this.
4) That was the plan, but when i plug the onr 10g lan port and did a configuration i even lost the ip for the ONR as well.. am i doing something wrong?

1) Yes, X540-T2 based 10G NIC is better. I would not say the Asus 10G NIC is useless though. It is readil available from local market and may be of lower heat dissipation. It is just the Windows driver may be buggy.

I have two USB 4 Marvell AQC107/AQC113 chipset based 10G NICs and they work fine under Windows, Linux and macOS. Windows speed will be abit lower.

Make sure you only use Windows Defender and not 3rd party Anti-virus program.

2) As of now, MLO is usally slower than 6GHz only SSID. MLO implementation is still quite weak for TP-Link. HB810 is a service provider model so you should lower your expectations when it comes to FW bug fixes or feature enhancement, and you have to lower your expectations of MLO performances as well.

3) You can fix the IP of two HB810 units within the ZTE F8648P ONR Web GUI (192.168.1.254).

Local Network --> LAN --> DHCP Binding

4) I am not an expert in Unifi switches, you can try to ask in the Unifi thread. I think you can try to configure it as a dumb switch first.

My connection scheme.

Usually I will have three or four devices behind the Singtel ONR. I also tested the free but useless Singtel AX5400 router for a few times. Occassionally I will also try other

FTP --> Singtel F8648P ONR -- Hasivo S600W-4GT-1SX-1XGT-SE Switch 10G RJ45 Port
Hasivo switch SFP+ port --> DAC cable --> Miniroute R1 Intel N100 mini PC with dual SFP+ ports (10G capable)
Hasivo 2.5G LAN port --> Asus RT-AX86U router 2.5G WAN port
Hasivo 2.5G LAN port --> CWWK Intel N100 Mini PC with quad 2.5G ports running PVE (which runs the two OpenWRT virtual routers, one always on, the other on demand. The other OpenWRT may be replaced with pfSense or OPNsense sometimes).
OpenWRT virtual router #1 2.5G LAN port --> ZTE BE7200 Pro+ AP or Asus TUF-BE6500 AP
OpenWRT virtual router #2 or pfSsense/OPNWRT virtual router 2.5G LAN port -->Asus BE6500 AP or ZTE BE7200 Pro+ AP (usually OFF)

OpenWRT virtual router #1 (Double NAT) -- 192.168.1.2
Miniroute R1 Intel N100 mini PC (10G capable) -- 192.168.1.3
Asus RT-AX86U (Double NAT) -- 192.168.1.4
OpenWRT virtual router #2 (Double NAT) -- 192.168.1.5 (not always ON)
Singtel AX5400 router -- 192.169.1.15 (not used now)
