I believe that is created when you connect the free SIngtel issued Wireless Router (automatically run in AP mode). You may need to keep it enabled if you need to use the Singtel AP.

If not, you can delete the rule. As for what is the function, I am not so sure.

I have deleted the rule myself since I only tested the Singtel AP for one day and then put it aside.
Noted with thanks! Probably some remote management function then

Interestingly there is still a successful attempt to bridge the ZTE ONR now. Unfortunately it still does not work for me (even after the reboot of the ONR).

I am guessing Singtel is deploying IPv6 and new DHCP servers to different locations. Those with the new DHCP servers on the XGS-PON network will not be able to have two IPv4 addresses issued and that is the reason of losing the internet. Those with the older DHCP servers are allowed to have up to three public IPv4 addresses and therefore no issues. This applies to GPON network (Singtel 1Gbps/2Gbps plan users and even WC 2.5Gbps users).

I may be wrong though. Let's wait for more reports.

From here.

Hmm.. my case I bridge port 5 , only port 5 working , other ports no Internet at all.. new singtel tv box no need to use seperate VLAN, can even use WiFi according to technician.

Interestingly today I tried to bridge Singtel ZTE F8648P ONR Port 5 only and it works fine, as you mentioned, only port is 5 working, other LAN ports got no internet at all (even though Singtel ONR still got a vliad public IPv4 address). So this is kind of different from last time.

BTW, I have cancelled my Singtel TV service as it is really not used much in the past three years.

I am using Asus TUF-BE6500 (quad 2.5G ports) for now as the main router -- so only using the 5Gbps service as 2.5Gbps plan. But yes the TUF-BE6500 gets a public IPv4 address. IPv6 also works (native IPv6 using DHCPv6).

So finally bridging works! Unfortunately I've signed up for SH's special ONT package. But good to know for everyone.

Still needs to wait for more users to confirm.

I think Starhub's special 5Gbps ONT offer is still a safer bet and it is also much cheaper at S$29.55 per month.

I am paying S$49.90 per month for Singtel 5Gbps plan with the ONR plus a lousy useless Singtel AX5400 router.

After I signed up, the new Singtel 5Gbps offer is quite a bit better at S$57.90 per month with the TP-Link HB810 WiFi 7 router (dual 10G ports and dual 2.5G ports).

5Gbps Enhanced Plan with WiFi 7 Router at $57.90/mth (U.P. $95.90/mth)
[ONLINE EXCLUSIVE] Comes with FREE Mayer 5L Digital Air Fryer (worth $349)
Comes with XGS-PON Optical Network Router + 1 unit TP-Link BE22000 WiFi 7 Router

once bridged, will the IPTV work too?

assuming:
Bridged 10Gbps Port -> Unmanaged Switch -> PC, and Singtel TV?

No, this will not work.

The bridged port will have no Singtel TV function.

I have cancelled my Singtel TV so I am not so sure if it is still working with the remaining unbridged ports. Previously that was the behaviour.

I cancelled my Singtel TV service mainly because of extremely low usages, but partially it is also because of the intention to avoid potential issues with bridging.

1) Previous behaviour after successful bridging of the ZTE F8648P XGS-PON ONR. This is still correct for GPON ONRs as of now.

Bridged port --> your own router, one network, one public IPv4 address, with internet access. No support of Singtel TV box.

ONR (with remaining unbridged ports) --> another network, another public IPv4 address. Devices connected to the unbridged ports will have internet access. Singtel TV box needs to be connected to the unbridged ports.

2) New behaviours after bridging for the ZTE F8648P XGS-PON ONR, need more users to confirm.

Bridged port --> your own router, one network, one public IPv4 address, with internet access. No support of Singtel TV box.

ONR (with remaining unbridged ports) --> another network, another public IPv4 address. Devices connected to the unbridged ports will have NO internet access.

Pending confirmation whether Singtel TV box will work or not.

However, Singtel has moved to new Android TV OS based TV box, not so sure the new behaviour.

As per some other reports, it seems to me that the new Android TV box will still need to be connected to Singtel ONR (unbridged ports) to be functional.

So we have to wait for more reports to see if the traditional Singtel TV box and the new Android TV OS based Singtel TV box will work or not.

The good thing about the new Singtel TV service is that you do not really need the Singtel TV Box (traditional one, or the ne Android TV OS based one), you can use Singtel Cast. Singtel Cast app is supported on a few streaming box, including the cheap Mi Box S Gen 2 (below S$70), Sony Android TV, Apple TV, if you want to watch on the large screen.

New Android TV box have 2 way to watch live TV. Native home UI will required to plug in ONR non bridge port. If unable to plug in the ONR directly, can use CAST app to watch live TV , it works with normal Internet and Wifi

1. Great. So for the new Singtel Android TV box, it will still work when connected to the ONR unbridged port. Thanks for the info.

Then I believe the tradtional Singtel TV box will still work (pending confirmation) when connected to the unbridged ports.

2. The major difference is now that Internet access no longer works for the unbridged ports. Previously it works fine.

3. The new behavior is kind of similar to last time for the offiically bridged Singtel GPON ONR for Singtel 500Mbps/1Gbps plan users.
1) Bridged port --> your own router, no Singtel VLAN needed, with internet access (one public IPv4 address), no Singtel TV box function
2) Unbridged ports --> no internet access, only for Singtel TV box.

4. The original behaviour is kind of similar to those who bridged Singtel ONR for 2Gbps/2.5Gbps plans.
1) Bridged port --> your own router, no Singtel VLAN needed, with internet access (one public IPv4 address), no Singtel TV box function
2) Unbridged ports --> with internet access, also working for Singtel TV box.

5. Let's wait for more reports.

try the 4 x 1gb ports on the onr, they should still work for singtel tv.

ZTE ONR still got the public IPv4 address --> but somehow LAN devices connected to the unbridged ports can not access internet)

BTW, ONR IPv4 address tends not changing, unless you select renew/release.

On the other hand, the public IPv4 address of my own router connected to the bridged port changed a few times this morning, kind of interesting (rebooted the router a few times).

Disconnect all the devices connected to all other LAN ports. Connect your own router to ONR port 5, reboot the ONR and your own router, then see if that helps.
No other devices on ONR. Restarted ONR a couple of times, could see ip address on ONR, but unable to access internet be it direct to ONT or connect to router (asus router showing no jp)

I see. This is the same as my experiences before. I also do not know why it suddenly worked for me yesterday.

Guess you have to wait and one day it may work...
