There is actually a unit below 300k lol.

https://www.propertyguru.com.sg/listing/hdb-for-sale-34-circuit-road-25259507

U can go give ur cheque now.
lol you prob had to search damn hard just to find this really old 1 unit. Bto are still affordable I agree but the resale market is out of whack. But sometimes people need resale for various reasons - met late in life and can’t wait, can’t bto if single. Still keep trying to argue public housing is affordable. But I guess some people are unable to empathize if they had it good especially if they are the boomer gen.

Think that area on and of got such older flats going for 'affordable'. Should be higher chance kanna en-bloc later. Just need to have the patience to wait it out. Maybe another 10 years or so can start see something.

Surrounding they got quite some new housing estates, and many more going to come up in the future. If can relocate to the surrounding, it would be best. Cause the accessibility and connectivity is much better than other places.

Took 2 mins. Filtering function very easy. But there is only 1.

So u buying?
No cus I already bought and better than this. My point is that resale is becoming unaffordable and you could only find just 1 really old 57 year old flat to make your point. Also if you check the transactions for that block, it was all selling above 300k (even for a first storey), I think this flat might be subjected to ethic quota. Still trying to argue that resale housing is affordable? It was still affordable a few years back when I bought but some of my friends (middle class) are finding it really tough now after covid, whether single or couples. Who doesn’t want to bto if they can?

To me sinkies shd be buying bto unless above income cap so resale is non issue.

If u r unmarried, assuming u r below income cap and 35 (giving benefit of doubt that the only impediment u faced is marital status), then just wait till u r 35 lol.

Taxpayers does not need to pay more to pander to the wants of every demographic.

Remind me of this… :ROFLMAO:

"I think it is important for us to ensure that they [ordinary Singaporeans] read the RIGHT thing…" Yaacob wants you to read the "right" things

Yeah some people are only able to read what pap tells them. Life is great in sinkieland, cost of living is manageable and housing is affordable. All hail our leaders

Yes to me he is the only credible interviewee in the video, out of like maybe 5 or 6 interviewed in the first 5 to 10 mins.

I wont call him middleclass tho. $10 a day is very difficult to achieve, if it really covers everything.

I agree that income equality is present in SG and is an issue, but it is hyperbole to say middleclass cannot survive in SG, or even live in comfort.

You have option to BTO and make the 400k profit. You choose not to.

It is normal for edmwer to be unable to distinguish facts from opinions, and conflate the 2.

It's just appalling how edmwers just like to bash without fact-checking... degrading the level of this forum...

We have a universal indicator called Gini coefficient that nobody bothers to read and instead just use some random interviews in the streets and complain...

You think life is better where? Malaysia ah? Australia ah? USA ah? Africa ah? You move over and see lo.

I can find you people in every country complaining about their cost of living, their government damn lousy.

I wonder why 😂
