Can share the faq? This is scary

Incoming calls you receive while overseas, even if rejected, are billed at both the incoming call roaming rate and rerouted IDD call charges, rounded up to the nearest minute.

Singtel's billing is based on Call Detail Records, and these records show this usage was captured and billed correctly.

We understand that unexpected roaming charges can be frustrating, but it's important to remember that rejected roaming calls are still charged per minute. Unfortunately, we cannot waive these charges. We appreciate your understanding.

What should be done then if we receive incoming calls when overseas? Just don't answer the call?

Seems like not answering the incoming won't work if in USA or Canada and the call rings for more than 30 seconds.
Roaming voice call is charged on a per minute basis. For USA and Canada, call charges will be incurred after 30 seconds of ringing even if incoming calls are unanswered.

What are you looking for ? Selectively answer call ? Or don't answer any call ?
If don't answer any call, you can enable unconditional call forwarding, or some phone/plans has option to block all calls.
Selective would be more tricky, I know for a fact that reject to voice mail for sure triggers the double international billing, but if no voice mail, not sure.

Selectively answer call. I will still want to be informed of an incoming call when overseas. Depending if it's important/urgent then I will decide to answer and pay the high billing minutes.

I have been in HK and Japan, didn't answer calls and no charges whatsoever - Singtel main line
USA/Canada never tried before

these days I usually buy local tourist sim card and rely on whatsapp when travelling - to avoid bill shock

There is a new 5GB roaming for Roam Smart 4G to JP/S.KR/TW/AU/CN/HK/MACAU/PH/VN.
I sign up like 2 months ago without it, will this be automatically updated to my plan?

If yours is not automatically upgraded, try whatsapp their customer service for it. They will likely give it to you.

It happens to my $10 plan when they upgraded mine to 200GB from 100GB

last time, at Raffles Place high floor and East Coast Park, Singtel line sometimes will connect to Indonesian network resulting in roaming charges. I experienced before but luckily never got charged inadvertently

not sure if they waived charges for genuine innocent cases
but Singtel advised to turn off roaming while in SG

the solution is easy, just manually set the network to sinktel instead of keeping the default 'auto selection of network' setting that it will not auto switch to other network..

is there actually real support for ZYM? Feels like the Whatsapp number is being manned by a single employee whose main job isn’t support and he/she only replies when he/she likes. Gotten half replies or no replies when I posted support questions, haven’t really had any of my issues sorted out at all.

for mvno support usually is either whatsapp / FB or email .. this is how they lower their costs of operation to give cheaper plans.

Their chats on whatsapp are quite responsive in the evening when i contacted them previously.
