What's the correct response if bullied? Calling SPF is no use since they can't get there in time to stop the child from being injured. 走为上计。Teach kids to run fast.
First thing is not be isolated. If you see the cases, the victim somehow get isolated in a stairwell, void deck or quiet place by the bullies. By which time 想走也走不了了.

How do schools set the tone if the bullies are tone deaf? You are still applying the psyche and thought process of a good rational student on a bad student. Whatever the teacher or school says, the si ginna and ah beng wannabe and 369-inclined will be one ear in one ear out. The principal or DM talking is just words words words to them. And of course they never contemplate the day they will be caught, their brain is just wired to be stupid and reckless.

Last time even the 369-inclined si ginna are given chances hoping that they will change . My approach is “kill one no mercy and warn the others” . Imagine a group of 5 caught bully someone , next day they are gone. It will send a clear message don’t F around
To me , a bully will always be a bully . Give chance for what . And a lot of em are just followers, most don’t have the balls
Just throw em to the society and learn it the hard way . We need local hard labours right .

So about 160000 students in Sec?
5 in 1000 , would be almost 800 for just Sec....
😱
Is my math correct?..... cos that's a big figure!
And that's only the reported cases.

Actually really hard for them to change. Must have a drastic change in their life for them to change.

During school days; they were sent to boys home, public caning in school; etc; it does not changed them for the better. Rather, they feel more “powerful”. Because more people are scared of them, and they will use this to brag. How many canes I have, I have been to boys home, etc. their mentality is different from the start. To them, it is an achievement.

Woa, what's happening with Singapore education? What's our education minister view on this? Is he doing something? There should have some army based protocol or instructions to teachers, parents and student to handle such potential bully problems??
Back in my day we had a ex regular in the school. Suffice to say, nobody like the style and troubles at the school spike as teenage rebellion sentiments soar in the school. Even those guai kias can tell what's the problem.

That was back in the day. Today where the kids are arguable ''bigger'' with parents siding them instead of against them like in the older days? Not gonna work bro. And also the ministries in SG if you haven noticed by now, all mostly populated with leaders that emphasized on no negative news. This is true even in SAF.

Not sure if this is new case ...

A secondary one pupil from Meridian Secondary School suffered a ruptured right eardrum after she was assaulted by her schoolmates.

The incident occurred during the students’ lunch break on Oct 3, when an older female student asked to talk to the victim at the void deck of Block 541, Pasir Ris Street 51, which is near the school, reported Lianhe Zaobao.

The girl arrived to find six people - four boys and two girls - waiting for her. Under the boys’ instructions, the two female students proceeded to beat and slap her for nearly 20 minutes. The beating only ended after a passer-by called the police, reported the Chinese morning daily.

The victim’s father Zhou Yueliang (transliteration) told Zaobao that there were nine other bystanders at the scene.

The 53-year-old taxi driver added that after passers-by called the police, his daughter was conveyed to KK Women's and Children's Hospital for treatment by Singapore Civil Defence Force personnel. He was informed of the incident by the police.

Zhou said that when he saw his daughter after the assault, her eyes and neck were bruised, and she kept telling him her right ear hurt and she could not hear clearly.

The doctor cleared the girl to be discharged on the same day and suggested Zhou continue to observe her condition, he brought her back home, he explained.

At about 10:30am the next morning, while the father-daughter pair was en route to the hospital for a follow-up appointment, an unknown liquid suddenly flowed out of the girl’s right ear. An X-ray at the hospital revealed that her right eardrum had ruptured, said Zhou.

While most of the girl's wounds have since healed, she has yet to recover her hearing.

Zhou said he plans to pursue legal action against the students after police investigations conclude.

Police report lodged, says school

Principal of Meridian Secondary School Mohamed Razali B Abdul Hamed told Lianhe Zaobao that the school is aware of the incident and has lodged a police report.

He said that during the incident, a student suffered an ear injury after a conflict with two other students.

"The school has been paying close attention to the condition of the injured student and has taken disciplinary action against the students involved, including bystanders at the scene," said Razali.

Bare hands fighting or slap people is a non arrestable offense right? If yes, then I will go down n slap the 6 of them until both ear drum ruptured if I am the dad.
Ear ruptured too lenient. Need slap until blind and brain disorder.
