I think I see the result of my tailor if he is still as good as before first. He is quite old and I've not made any shirts from him for a number of years.

But his style, and fit. Is can stand beside prada, Hugo that kind. I used to be in branded.

I look at some of the photos from jb tailors, don't look very smart nor the fitting are good. :(

I've been going to a tailor in Penang for my suits, shirts & pants. Love the handiwork! 😸

Cool. What do you intend to do if you stop working? Can get quite bored very quickly if no activities.

Drive around the numerous shophouse-like areas in Johor & beyond to chill & explore with my better half. If health permits, we may use JB as a base while we travel even more around the world.

The initial plan was to retire in Penang, with its more palatable demographics. Second option was Malacca.

It was only by chance, recently, that we found Johor/JB worth considering.

Sounds good. However, to travel regionally directly from JB, your options for airlines might be limited unless you come and fly via SG.

KL too hectic. Frequent jams, too.

Haven't been to Ipoh & Kuantan.

Familiar with Penang as we fly there often. Malacca looked nice with the Hatten projects (then) sprouting up...

Not so good for boomers who can't fend for themselves or know how to drive.

But for the current sandwiched generations in their 30-50s can consider, but must manage expectations. Go out don't wear gold chains and carry branded bags. Must behave like a local and low profile.

Don't be a lalazai lol
I somewhat mastered the craft of dressing like a local. Basically need to wear as lupsup, as poor as possible. Walking also need to tune off your aura.

You know you succeeded when promoters ignore u and phv drivers ask if u stay msia long time alrdy

Haha, don't say until our neighbours are lupsup la. Just don't need to dress from top to toe branded and flashy.

Unnecessary attention.

I don't initiate conversations with real estate agents / promoters, just smile and walk away.

Something you might want to know...

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/qX7mYT9iU71qthCF/?

For those in the FB human traffic group... "Went to JB via tuas today at around 4pm and wanted to exit via woodlands at 9.45pm. I was shown an error message at the CIQ/BSI checkpoint when I wanted to head back to SG. They brought me into the office and said they had NO RECORD of me entering !"
