Nice ones. It is good that TP-Link now offers more options for WiFi 7 routers, especially more options with 6GHz band.

1. Archer GE800 -->Triband BE19000, quite similar to Archer BE800 in terms of wireless and HW spec.
• 1× 10 Gbps SFP+/RJ45 Combo WAN
• 1× 10 Gbps WAN/LAN
• 2× 2.5 Gbps LAN
• 4× 1 Gbps LAN

Dongknows' review is good.
https://dongknows.com/tp-link-archer-ge800-be19000-gaming-router-review/

2. Archer GE650 --> Triband BE11000, dual 5Gbps ports (one WAN and one LAN) plus three 2.5G LAN ports

3. Archer GE550 --> BE9300, dual 5Gbps ports (one WAN and one LAN) plus three 2.5G LAN ports

4. Archer BE700 --> Triband BE15000, 10G WAN port, one 2.5G LAN and three 1G LAN ports

5. Archer BE550 Pro --> similar to Archer BE550 except the 10G WAN port, Triband BE9300, with 10G WAN port and quad 2.5G LAN ports

This one is also interesting for those who like the form factor (wall-mount AP, not IN-Wall AP).

ZTE BE5100 Pro+ Wall-mount AP, dual 2.5G ports.
中兴晴天BE5100 Pro+ 墙面路由器, about RMB 379
No pro version only has 1Gb ports, about RMB 269.

Ive just gotten the 5gbps ONT plan with Starhub. Was wondering whats some good router options to for. Planning to use it with homeassistant and NAS in the future.

I have change the placement on the router to be in the dining area so it has better coverage to the rest of house being in the middle of the house. But sometimes my mom complains about choppy singal even with that placement. Currently using ASUS RT-AX82U AX5400. Will a single Archer GE800 be sufficient or a set of Deco be65 (pair) be better for my use case?

Also what are your thoughts on gaming lan ports? Is the routing really any better? Ty!

1. Asus China version routers work well with local ISPs.
2. TUF-BE6500 has quad 2.5G ports, it is okay for MR 3Gbps plan.
3. I also do not like XD4 Pro as the mesh node even if you choose it because of the form factor. I will probably recommend TUF-BE3600 or even another TUF-BE6500 as the mesh node.
4. As long as your DB box does not block WiFi badly, the coverage should be ok. Placement is important.

Just received the BE6500 and got it set up. Currently on the 1000mpbs plan by starhub.

Previous speed test with my Google home was: 300mpbs (speed test done beside the router).

Now with the BE6500, speed is: 70mpbs (speed test done beside router).

any idea what am I doing wrongly?

Check the wire connection first. Your WAN port may negotiate at 100Mbps. You can carry out SpeedTest within the Asus router web GUI. You can also check the connection status of the WAN port.

Unplug and plug the Ethernet cable between the router and the ONT and try again.

Bundled with M1 10gbps plan which im eyeing once available in my area. Not too bad lah hor this mesh? Lol!

Im an Asus fan and while my original plan to set up BE98 and BE96 in AImesh mode would be more powerful, its also a lot more expensive.

And tri band is more than sufficient for my needs. What i need is dual 10 gbps LAN cos i want to link both units via wired backhaul and unit in my master bedroom will be connected to mac mini by cable. And this BT10 has dual 10 gbps.

M1 offer for bubdling Asus ZenWiFi BT10 2-pack free with the 10Gbps plan is pretty good.

The S$12 top-up for the M1 6Gbps offer for the Asus ZenWiFi BT10 2-pack is also good.

The good thing is that some users may offload Archer BE805 and Asus ZenWiFi BT10 in Carousell BNIB. Let's see the price.

I tend to believe the price of ZenWiFi BT10 may initially be a bit higher at about S$480 but later drop to around S$400 (listed price at S$699 from Asus Singapore, but later the real retail price will be lower).

TP-Link Archer BE805 may be sold at about S$400 or lower.

So for M1 new 10Gbps plan subscribers, it is no brainer to get the Asus ZenWiFi BT10 2-pack because of high offloading price (eg: S$400 per unit or S$800 for two units).

My BE88 just arrived yesterday and Xiaofan TB recommendation on SFP+ to Rj45 works well with the router.

But I have a weird issue with the AIMesh setup. I have the same setup for many years but rarely run into this.

BE88U is at the store room, the following AiMesh nodes are connected to Be88U via RJ45 through the patch panel in store room.
1) AX88 in living room
2) AX88 in study room
3) AX55 in kids room

The AX88 (2) and AX55 (3) appeared offline this morning. Same thing occurred last night as well but they came back online after 10mins. I had to remove them and re-add them. All routers are at the latest firmware.

Anyone experience similar issue? Appreciate any recommendations, thanks.

Hmm, I think you may want to monitor. Did you carry out factory reset of the nodes (the two RT-AX88U and RT-AX55) when you set up the RT-BE88U as the new main AImesh router?

BTW, I tend to think you have too many nodes. Too many nodes will also cause interferences and reduce the roaming performance.

Which plan do you have? I also intend to get the BE88 to use with my GT AX6000 and RT AX88U.
