Difficult to cut into smaller blocks, next time maybe buyer smaller individual Mould would be easier.




wow nice i always wanted to make!
heat your knife with the stove then cut it. that's how dessert chefs cut frozen desserts.

My review of BUZUD CGM vs Abbott Freestyle Libre.

Pros:
- BUZUD uses bluetooth. Abbott Freestyle Libre requires a phone with NFC, Depends on your phone this is a pro or con.
- BUZUD don’t need to scan with phone, transmit automatically to phone via bluetooth. Abbott Freestyle Libre needs to scan manually.
- BUZUD is currently a lot cheaper than Abbott Freestyle Libre.
- BUZUD can be calibrated if CGM reading differs too much from glucometer reading. e.g. i recall once, BUZUD says my glucose is 13, but glucometer reading only 7.2. (Similar errors happened with Abbott Freestyle Libre too and other CGMs)
- BUZUD app can see more stats like standard deviation, coefficient of variance and mean etc. But no Abbott Freestyle Libre app, to see data for Abbott Freestyle Libre, you need to sign in to another web based app called LibreView.

Cons:

Depending on how you see this, this function may or may not be a con, because actually CGM doesn’t measure blood glucose but measures the interstitial fluid, hence what you measure with your CGM is the blood glucose about 5 to 15 minutes.ago.
- BUZUD app doesn’t work in airplane mode, i submitted my feedback, hope they fix in future updates. when you go into airplane mode, the CGM’s transmitter loses signal, I have to delete the device and pair again. This is not my phone and bluetooth’s issue because even in airplane mode my garmin watch maintains connection or reconnects after disconnection with my phone.
BUZUD is only sold on their online store and in their currently 2 stores at Novena square 2 and Raffles Hospital, Abbott Freestyle Libre is pretty common now can be found at many pharmacies.
- BUZUD is unable to download measurements data in csv.

I am interested in getting one to test out but do all of them need a transmitter?

If I am just testing for 2 weeks, I don't see the need to buy one that has to work with a transmitter hahah

I read that the Libre doesn't need a transmitter, is that correct?

the website says the transmitter can be reused for 4 years, so be careful not to throw the transmitter away.
libre has no transmitter so we need to scan manually.

Not sure if I will continue using the CGM as I am just playing around, so maybe the Libre makes more sense - just buy the sensor as and when I want to monitor vs a likely white elephant of a transmitter that won't be used often hahah

yes for your case maybe jsut get a freestyle libre to try.

More studies show that higher LDL levels are not associated with higher risk of heart diseases

If anything, higher cholesterol levels are actually protective as we age

TLDR :
-causes of obesity hypotheses : high insulin. high seed oil consumption (or is it lowered red meat consumption?)
-all hibernating animals purposely induce metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance
-glucose increase ATP
- when we give animals glucose, their bodies start to produce fructose.
-fat is to protect us from lack of food
- Fructose lowers ATP through 5 mechanisms e. g. fructokinase.
-a study injected glucose into the brains of mice and they don't feel hungry. but when researchers injected fructose into the brains of the mice, they felt hunger and also ate more because their ATP plummeted.
-fructose drives metabolism syndrome, hunger, thirst, induce leptin resistance, decrease resting metabolism and increase food intake by foraging, increase insulin reduce and reduce glucose to the brain and muscles.
- fructose increase inflammation, (which is supposed to be protective to hibernating animals)
- fructose increase blood pressure to maintain blood circulation. (which is supposed to be protective to hibernating animals)
- fructose induces a low oxygen state (which is supposed to be protective to hibernating animals)
- when hibernating animals become leptin resistance after eating fructose, they start to prefer fat. because they need calories to hibernate and fats has the most calories
- animals on calorie restriction gained fat despite lower calories.
- a future obesity study showed that when individuals are fed with high salt diet and they got insulin resistance after 5 days.
- when they fed salt to animals, the animals maintained weight for several months then gained weight and had fatty liver. Then when the researchers blocked the fructose metabolism, they found out that they also prevented the animals from getting diabetes and hypertension.
-zero fructose + high salt = weight loss.
-fat produces water. e. g. camels' humps.
-dehydration + salt tells the brain you are going through a famine and so triggers fat storage.
- MSG which is the umami taste also triggers fat storage, also decrease ATP.
- uric acid also trigger fat storage
- fructose grows tumour cells
- alcohol converts to fructose
- but we don't have to stop eating whole fruits. avoid hfcs and fruit juices
- eat

low carb and ketogenic

I am currently trying out allulose after seeing so many LC doctors rave about it

I don't normally put sugar in my coffee though - so even a small teaspoon is very sweet to me hahah

I am curious on its impact on blood sugar and hence the recent interest to get a CGM

Slightly older video but interesting - overconsumption of protein will raise our blood glucose levels, especially if it's overly lean

Growing evidence that a "balanced" meal is not such a good idea after all, especially if there's ultra processed food and trans fats thrown into the mix

I only eat 1 meal a day and it's actually not that expensive for me to eat a meal higher in protein and fats
Hi can i seek your wisdom on this

1. OMAD -> how much protein/meat can you down in 1 meal?
2. Do you have any preference or recommendation for magnesium supplements currently?
