I doubt will have much impact lah. The malls are packed and there are still a lot of ppl going jb currently. Not everyone so gian to go jb just to save some money.
JB VEP start inside very little Sporean cars as their system dunno up or not. It is a ghost town. Can go in but enforcement is lax but you need to gamble or prepare makan suap monies. See how long this VEP system life last.

Trading range (volatility) is expanding again. Most likely, pullback to $2.27 is over.
Bottom can only be known after it has happened.

Mission accomplished at buying pullback.

Shorts are buying back rapidly as the price drops.

Sept 26: $2.34 (1,540,100)
Sept 27: $2.34 (1,150,900)
Sept 30: $2.30 (783,400)

So: $2.27 - $2.30 could be another buying zone. I asked my wife to buy FCT shares, transacting at $2.31. Originally planned to buy at $2.17 months earlier but hesitated and missed the boat .

Another incidental point is that FCT's legal fees seem to be very low. Commendable.

The secular decline of malls is real, from retail to cinemas, all doing poorly. Only thing left is F&B propping up these malls.

Many possible replacements: Fitness centres, tuition centres, cosmetic/beauty treatment clinics.
Limited retail mall space near MRT.

agree to the above. can look at the household expenditure survey data for spending trends. enrichment, personal development, tuition, and services need floor space and there is growing spending. malls are ideal spaces because F&B ties in very well with this. parents who are waiting for their children help keep F&B outlets occupied even outside lunch/dinner hours.
