I won't be traveling long distance, just around Taipei. Short trip, just to have a feel of Taipei life. Will plan next trip outside Taipei. Good about Taiwan and China, communication is not an issue and relatively safe.

Original predictions of the storm's varied among countries, but in an updated forecast yesterday evening, the CWA said that Usagi's route was trending north of its previous projected path, which could lead to sea warnings being issued for waters near Taiwan on Thursday.

CWA forecaster Chen Pei-an (陳姵安) said the storm was likely to northward on Thursday, but she remained unsure if it would turn to the northwest and head into the South China Sea through the Bashi Channel, or turn due north and affect waters east of Taiwan.

As of this morning, CWA graphics showed the storm heading toward waters east of Taiwan sometime over the weekend.

Don't buy the Taoyuan Airport Train ticket from Klook, NOT worth it anymore. more expensive than buying straight from counter because Klook didn't adjust pricing now that the rates are 1:24+ instead of 1:22+.
just buy easycard and use easycard to tap.

Still can use if you are visiting multiple places.

For example, I used 1 for 1 from Taipei to Kaoshiung on 1 account.
Then 1 for 1 from Kaoshiung to Tainan on another account.
Tainan to TaiChung use 15% off.
TaiChung to Taipei use 15% off.

Starbucks voucher is you still need to pay $4 to get 2 QR code that can be redeemed for 100 NTD drinks at Starbucks.

Last time is cannot take from taipei. Lucky i take from taoyuan, straight from airport. Go north no promo too. Haha.

I think they want tourists to go south. Last year, tainan and kaohsiung are like dead cities compared to precovid. So quiet. Also saw news few days back, ks sanduo area is declining rapidly. The dept buildings are void of customers.

Went to both Tainan and KH end Oct, can confirm both are still dead cities.
Only a few gathering places with events and such can see people.

A bit late. Most good and cheap hotels r booked. Most of us usually stay around xmd and taipei main station. Good luck hotel hunting.
